What is Youth Councils? Youth Councils is a three day retreat specifically for Jr. High, High School and college age youth to be challenged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Who can attend Youth Councils? We have two tracks to set up so that we can tailor everything to the specific needs of your youth. To attend the Jr. High Track, youth must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade by April 10, 2015. In order to be in the High School Track, youth need to be in 9th grade-age 25 by that same date. When is Youth Councils 2015? Youth Councils 2015 is being held from April 10-12, 2015 at Wonderland Camp & Conference Center. What is the theme for Youth Councils 2015? Summer Kids’ Camp right here at Olympic...is it possible? Yes, we are once again hosting a summer kids camp for kids between second and eighth grade. Three days and two nights of fun, friends, and a challenge about what it means to follow Jesus. Activities include :Horseback Riding, Hiking, Night Games, Campfires, and Swimming. While we are going to have a great time, we will also be spending time learning about what it means to go deeper in our relationship with God. Teens will add to coding skills learned in Part 1 to instruct RedBot to follow simple to complex line patterns. Students will use basic drawing techniques to learn how to tell a story through pictures. While focusing on composition and design, students will explore how to communicate an idea through an illustration. Students will work with stories written by other students as part of the Grannie Annie project. At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to submit an illustration for possible publication in Grannie Annie, Vol. 11. 314-628-1024

Does your student need help with English Language Arts or Social Studies or Math? Does your student need a quiet place to work on homework with a teacher after school? If so, the MPA Homework Lab is the place for them! The MPA Homework Lab will take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:10pm to 4:30pm in Barker 13. The Lab will offer a quiet place where students can complete homework, ask questions, work on projects, or just study for quizzes and tests. In Minecraft Camps, kids will learn about the Minecraft PC edition how all the commands work, the different modes & Worlds, and apply STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) to the projects. The goal is to apply creativity and technology to build world landmarks, cities and amusement parks to present on the last day. Each camper will leave camp with an AccelerateKID T-shirt.
