Going away to summer camp is a big moment for a child. Homesickness is normal for kids of all ages, especially those children who have not been away from home before. One of the first things parents should do is talk to their kids about the program, its length and the activities. If possible, the child should help decide which camp to attend.

Youth strength and conditioning camp - Houston, TX
Calling all youth athletes and aspiring athletes!!! Parents, Bring your kids out to this clinic to improve their knowledge and skills in core strength, conditioning, footwork and combat fighting drills. This is a free event that is proposed for kids from second to eighth grade. The instructors of this event are Police Officers who enjoy working with youth on becoming better people and athletes while giving tips to improve their proficiency in any sport. If you are interested in signing your child up for this event please contact one us in a direct message. Again, we want to advise that this event is designed to give workout tips to all athletes!!!! Please be aware that this is a volunteered event and injury may occur. If injury occurs, we encourage parents to contact medical personnel. Please be aware of your child health conditions before attending this event. Instructors will not be liable for any injury that occurs. Upon arrival, Parents are encouraged to check in child(s) at 7am. Please arrive in workout attire with tennis shoes. Bring a towel, plenty of water and fruit. Kid's Summer Camp 2016 - Lake Stevens, WA
Will your child(ren) be entering 3rd-6th grade for the 2016-2017 school year? Begin planning now to send them to the PNW Foursquare Camp at Cedar Springs Camp in Lake Stevens, Washington happening July 25-29, 2016. Did you know a camper is exposed to more of what the gospel is about in one week at camp than regular church attendance for a whole year. At summer camp 2015, there were 45 first time salvations, 108 re-dedications,87 Holy Spirit baptisms, 29 physical healings, 23 calls to full-time ministry and 72 commitments to discipleship! The impact of camp for campers is eternal! They meet with the God who created them and loves them. There will be 3 fundraisers to help cover the cost of camp. It is possible that through your child's fundraising efforts, they can raise enough to pay for camp in full (approx. $230).

Arizona Parenting Magazine is hosting their annual Camp and Summer Expo at Desert Ridge Marketplace. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to meet with local STEM camps, performing arts, sports or overnight camp and make your summer plans. Kids will be able to enjoy and participate in a variety of camp experiences, such as: archery, zip lining, rock climbing, Euro bungee, tie dye t-shirts and much more. Whatever type of camp experience your child is looking for, this will be the place to find it.

Here at Camp Whetstone our mission is simple...for kids to have a safe, fun, learning experience each and every week. Each week we will have a new theme that will correlate with the different activities and programs scheduled. Our campers always look forward to the large variety of field trips every summer, which could include: the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, Columbus Clippers game, ice skating, Metro Parks, gem mining and swimming at Tuttle Pool. (Some events and trips may require an additional fee to be paid, in cash, at the beginning of each week.) How much water can fit on penny? Can you stir up floating bubbles and puffy foam? Join this camp to explore the physics of things that fall, float, and flutter and the chemistry of solutions that are slippery, sticky, and slimy. Design a cardboard box fort, tinker with a marble run, and experiment with incline planes. Future engineers will be constructing, propelling, and stirring all sorts of contraptions. This camp is perfect for the preschooler that enjoys building and tinkering. Growing Scientists must be at least 3 years old by June 1, 2016, potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently.
