I supposed if you're going to a summer camp it should be in a beautiful setting. Camp Togowoods doesn't disappoint! My daughter and her BFF had what they called a "super awesome fun time" at the camp this past summer. This summer they volunteered for kitchen duty. Kid's Yoga 3-Day Winter Camp - Centralia, WA
Beat those cabin fever blues and join Madlyne for Kid's Yoga Day Camp this Winter at Embody! WHO: All kids ages 6 to 12! WHEN: December 28th, 29th and 30th (Mon, Tue, Wed) - 2:00pm to 3:30pm WHERE Embody Movement Studio: 115 S. Tower Ave. Centralia, WA WHY: Fun! Relaxation! Play! Strength! Flexibility! Kid friendly yoga poses, stretches and breathing exercises are incorporated with games that teach positive ways to channel and expel excess energy! Your children won't forget this experience and will take-away great stretches and poses to do at home. Kids should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Madlyne is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and has over three years of experience working with children of varying ages. During the school year, Madlyne works at R.E. Bennet as a classroom assistant for children with special needs.

Kentucky 4-H Teen Summit is held annually at the Kentucky 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. The conference is for youth who are currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills in youth. While at the conference, all participants get to learn in fun and educational workshops taught by members of the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council. The conference also includes motivational speakers that get young people excited about leadership. The cost to attend is $115 which includes meals, lodging, and transportation. Honors Pre-Calculus - Hopkins Campus
This course is open to Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB after completing Honors Geometry; Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and Honors Geometry and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB; Students from outside Blake who seek to complete the equivalent of a full-year Honors Pre-Calculus course during the summer. They must possess a strong foundation in algebra because the course contains advanced material and moves at a rapid pace; it is not recommended for remedial purposes. Before registering, Blake students must obtain their teachers permission to advance, as indicated by a signed Mathematics Acceleration Contract. Successful advancement requires a grade of B or higher on each of the comprehensive exams given during the summer course. This course emphasizes functions and their characteristics. Topics include: function notation and transformations; combinations and compositions of functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions; and analytical trigonometry. In addition, sequences, series, parametric equations and limits are introduced in preparation for calculus. Learn and create riverside games using found rocks, sticks, and whatever else the river gives us. Build miniature test rafts and race them. Build a rafts large and small. Learn about useful and edible aquatic plants and animals. Track aquatic creatures along riverbank including the beaver, muskrat, heron, raccoon and more. Build primitive forts. Make and fish with a simple cane pole just like Huck and Tom. Use cane pole as part of stick and bindle (hobo satchel) to carry your goods during your travels. Search for treasures to fill your bindle. Barter and trade for each others treasures. 507-272-5320
