Volleyball - Session 1 - Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy
Where: NDP GAC About: NDP volleyball camps are designed to provide girls an opportunity to improve their individual skills in an atmosphere that is challenging, intense and fun. Our experienced staff, including current NDP coaches and players, encourages all campers to work hard, learn new skills and make new friends. Fundamentals and team concepts will be stressed. Campers should arrive 15 minutes early on the first day to check in. These camps often sell out, so please sign up early. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, indoor athletic shoes, socks, knee pads and water bottle. Please note our new cancellation policy. Intro to 3D Modeling and Design (3 Weeks) - The Mini Maker
This 3 Week class will introduce your child(ren) to 3D Modeling and Design with the use of Tinkercad and Thingiverse. Each student will learn 3D printer set up, 3D printing best practices and troubleshooting, design their own projects for 3D printing and receive an introduction to 3D Scanning. FINE ARTS ARTISTIC EXPLORATION - NO LUGGAGE REQUIRED Students will analyze the role and development of the visual arts in past and present cultures throughout the world, noting human diversity as it relates to the visual arts and artists. While participating in mini projects inspired by artists, students will have the practical opportunity to develop character by working together applying their learning for the common good of their school, local, and/or global community with a service learning project. Students will perceive and respond to works of art, objects in nature, events, and the environment. Students will describe how artists can show the same theme by using different media and styles. The culminating wearable art project will center around common class selected themes demonstrating human diversity as it relates to visual arts. DIGITAL PROJECTS FROM CONCEPTION TO PROJECTION INVENTIONS Budding entrepreneurs will be provided with problem-solving opportunities to explore the inventor that is within their imagination. Form a team to face the challenge of our extreme expedition camp. Search the globe for bricks and other resources needed to construct a base in the Himalayan Mountains and complete your expedition. Encounter Worst Case Scenario survival challenges, face forces of nature, and construct transportation equipment to bring your team together from around the globe.
