WPC Annual Youth Winter Retreat - Silver Lake, NY
If God threw a party, would everyone be invited? Would You? Well you are all invited to come on the annual Youth Winter Retreat What if Jesus meant something very different by the concepts of heaven, hell and salvation from how we have been taught and understand them? Pastor Larry DeVuyst will lead us to tackle these questions and more as we work through our retreat study from Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins, for Teens. As always there will be fun games, good food, and time with friends. Complete the retreat form found on WPC website youth page and turn it in to my mailbox with a check for $50 by 1/8. Arbys No Kid Hungry Campaign - Hope Mills, NC
Arby's is doing it again for the third year but at Arby's location. This year we will be holding different event at the Hope Mills Location to raise money for the No Kid Go Hungry Campaign from August 18 -September 28, 2015. Since 2011, the Arby's Foundation has been a national charity partner of Share Our Strength*s No Kid Hungry* campaign (NKH). As NKH's largest quick service restaurant partner, the Arby's Foundation has raised over $5 million in the past two years to support NKH and other hunger-fighting organizations in the communities that Arby's serves. Summer Camp Reunion Weekend - Paige, TX
We just love seeing our campers and their families return to the village in February and March to enjoy Sherwood Forest Faire, and obviously a great part of that is when campers encounter each other! This year, for the first time, we would like to have an official "Reunion" for our Youth Campers and Adult Campers alike to help facilitate that. Both events (which will be separate, because we don't want the Adult Campers teaching the younger ones bad habits) will take place during weekend #2, Feb 20-21. Mark your calendar! Girls will have the opportunity to learn gymnastics including rhythmic gymnastics with hoops and ribbons, tumbling on the mats and have the opportunity to learn routines on the balance beam, the single and uneven parallel bars and the vault. Lorrie Rousseau is LPRDs Gymnastic Instructor during the school year and now Lorrie brings her talent and over 25 years of dance and gymnastic experience to our summer camps.
