Camp will be held at the Headwaters Campground located as part of Burney Falls.
Pre-teen Improv Summer Camp (Session 3) - Norfolk, VA
This camp is open to children ages 7 to 12. Students will explore the key elements of both long and short form improvisation. The children will play numerous improv games which will serve to develop and enhance their public-speaking, social, and team-building skills. This camp will be conducted in a non-judgmental environment where the students will build confidence, make friends, and most importantly… have fun. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis and there will be a pizza-party for lunch on Friday. The camp concludes on Saturday with all students performing in a graduation show on the stage of the Push Comedy Theater. Each student will receive a Push Comedy Theater T-shirt and be eligible to perform in the 5th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2016. We will have 3 sessions throughout the summer. Session1: July 11th - 15th, 9:30am to noon Session 2: August 1st - 5th, 9:30 to noon Session 3: August 22nd - 26th, 9:30 to noon These are all beginner level sessions, no experience is necessary. Tution is $200 for new students (includes a t-shirt), $190 for returning students.

Working on the Wheel - Ceramics - Indianapolis Art Center
Get the clay spinning and experience the fun of throwing on a wheel! Campers will get a handle on the basics behind wheel throwing and have an opportunity to explore different techniques. All materials are provided for youth & teen classes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To receive member pricing, please purchase a membership by visiting [] activecommunities.com/indianapolisartcenter/Membership [] An information packet including a welcome letter and class syllabus will be emailed to parents one week prior to the first day of camp. Multiple Camp/Teen Intensive Discount: Sign-up in person or by phone for two camps and get 10% off the lower-priced camp! (Does not apply to Creative Aftercare.) Members of the Indianapolis Art Center will still receive a 15% discount on all camps. Prorating/Partial Registrations: If a child is not available for the entire week of camp, we highly recommend that the parent choose a different week. Tired of the 2D world? Join us for a week of 3D creativity. We will explore the worlds of 3D animation and 3D graphics and printing. Learn how to create and animate your world with Alice 3.0 software. These skills can be used to make movies, games and more. Using SketchUp and 3D printing software, we will create our own objects and then bring them to reality. Find out the steps it takes to get your creation out of the computer and into your hands!
