Canyon Creek is just about an hour’s drive outside LA and I’m really glad we took our kids. They learned a lot about several different sports and seemed to be really excited when we picked them up. It is near a large lake and is a beautiful area. The camp was huge and had many sporting facilities. All of the equipment seemed to be new and the camp counselors were great with the kids. We have felt the detrimental impact of state sanctioned violence, which has led to too many of our children, parents, friends, family and community members behind bars. CJNY member organizations continue to do the critical organizing and advocacy work to resist the structural racism within our justice and education systems. It's hard to believe Winter Break for our children is just a couple of weeks away. Artlore Studio will be offering a Kid's Art Camp the Week of December 26th thru December 30th. There will be a morning session from 9am-noon & an afternoon session from 1pm-4pm. We will work on Painting, Drawing, Collage, Fabric Art, Mosaic, Mixed Medium & more, while learning about different artists & different cultures,in a Fun & creative environment.
