Fall Youth Retreat - McLeod, MT
Come join us for our Fall Youth Retreat. ! Come enjoy the beauty of Camp Mimanagish in the fall and spend a weekend with new and old friends as we learn how to tell our stories and weave them together in this sacred space. WEEK 5 2016 - First Baptist Church
Spiritual Emphasis: Our counselors take every opportunity to minister to the campers spiritual needs through Bible study and personal interaction. We seek to integrate a biblical worldview in all our time we spend together. We understand this is a great opportunity not only to ell the campers about Gods Word, but also to show them how it is related to everyday life. Paul said it well when he wrote, "For me to live is Christ." That is what we model here for our campers. Social Emphasis: We also understand the importance of your child meeting and learning to work together with other children and adults. We will help them learn positive ways to make friends and guide them in being friends to others. Teamwork will also be taught through various games and activities. Physical Emphasis: No couch potatoes here! We dont want our campers to just hang out and waste their day so we work at keeping them going. Week #8: August 15-19: Crazy Kitchen Chemistry This class brings science into the kitchen as we use things we see every day to make amazing discoveries. Well make rainbow density columns that are safe to drink, create secret messages for our friends and explore how polar bears stay warm in below freezing temperatures. The Elephants Child - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
Children the whole world round have delighted to the telling and re-telling of Rudyard Kiplings beloved story of how the Elephants child got his trunk. This charming musical adaptation perserves much of Kiplings clever text with its fascinating word rhythms and oral imagery, while five original songs capture the mystery and humor of Elephants childs exciting adventure down the "Great Grey-Green Greasy limpopo River". Costumes, dance, and wonderful dialogue mixed with the these great songs will give our youngest actors a spectacular time creating a mini-musical for family and friends while learning how to work as a team. High School Juniors Preparing for the May 7, 2016 SAT Test The KAPLAN course helps students gain confidence in taking the NEW SAT test while mastering test strategies. The course includes nine (9) classes taught by a qualified SAT teacher, three (3) practice tests, 2015 Kaplan Prep Book, access to Kaplan online prep and a small snack.
