Mother-Daughter Weekend Retreat - Dahlonega, GA
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church is offering a Mother-Daughter Retreat for older teens, young adults, moms, and grandmothers (even in-laws). Experience moments of fun, intentional conversations, and opportunities to get to know each other as more than just "mom" and "daughter", but as women of God. Hosted by Cricket Aull and her daughters (http://jerryandcricketaull.com/). Cost is $100 per person. Space is limited and reservations are required.
Kids Winter Art Camp: Mixed-Media Masks! - Bellingham, WA
In this winter break art class, we'll imagine that we are in a warm tropical place with palm trees, wild birds singing, and sandy beaches. To inspire our imagination, we’ll learn about the French post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin, the location of Tahiti, and a brief history of Tikis. Tiki masks actually have a long, rich history in Polynesian culture. The Tiki masks were originally hand-carved wooden masks that were used to symbolize deities, give protection, and increase luck. We'll create our own colorful and textured papers with paints with a variety of brushes, and different items to make texture, in mixed-media format, then use the painted papers to create our Tiki masks. Art Teacher: Rachel (LeLu) Simpson Dates: December 28th, 29th, & 30th at 3:00pm – 5:00pm Location: BAAY, 1059 N. Hotspot Dance Studio offers a yearly Summer Camp that will make sure your son or daughter not only has a safe place to enjoy their summer vacation and be part of activies, but also a place where they will be learning new skills related to performance arts. Hotspot Summer Camp Program will begin Monday June 14th and end August 5th of 2016.
