Extending the Fun of the Club
Our kids have been going to the local Boys and Girls club for the past year but this was the first time they ventured out for summer camp. I'm so glad they did. They got to try out so many new things. One of the big hits was the work in the garden. Now they want to turn out backyard into a vegetable patch. We are excited to invite the whole Alpha Omega Campus Ministry and the Junior and Seniors from the teen ministry to a Back to School Devotional. Beginning at 5:30pm the Campus Ministries will host a campus fair for the Juniors and Seniors to get information about the campuses in which they are interested. At 6:00pm we will start our devotional. We will have a time of worship, hear testimonies, and listen to the word of God being preached. The fair will continue afterwards. Join us for an inspirational time together.

This class is specially designed with teens who enjoy fashion. We will explore the many stages of everyday lives through fashion illustrations, beginning with the basic fashion figures (croquis) and color, using multiple mediums, including prints, fabric and textiles, students will imagine how they would dress for current and future life events, and also gain an understanding of the fashion industry, as well as the impact of technology on fashion. Through class discussions, books, films, and documentaries, students will gain a greater understanding of the fashion world and illustration as a form of self expression. This camp will emphasize basic skills, playing as a team, and sportsmanship. Instruction will focus on the fundamentals of soccer in a setting of encouragement and confidence building. Drills to improve skills will be added and games will focus on team play and scrimmages will be held to demonstrate tactical understanding. All participants need a soccer ball, shin guards, soccer shoes, a water bottle, a snack and sunscreen.
