KIDS CAMP- Midwest Women's Herbal Kids Camp - Almond, WI
Kids Herbal Camp offers children the opportunity to attend the MWHC while learning about herbs through age appropriate activities. The Kids Camp offers guardians the opportunity to attend the conference along with the children in their lives. Guardians will be able to attend classes kid-free and know that their children are also being exposed to plant wisdom. Kids Herbal Camp is for children ages 3 – 11 (boys and girls are welcome to participate) and activities will be planned according to ages. This year the kids Herbal Camp is run by Heidi Huebner, founder and steward of Blue Bird Hill Homestead in Hudson, WI. Kristine Brown will be offering a workshop session for the kids too! Haven Place Youth Summer Camp - New Haven, MI
Haven Place Youth Camp (July 31 thru Aug. 7). 7th-12th graders will be staying at Haven Place. Only $30.00 per person 8 days 7 nights. Registreation due by July 2oth. Last year we had 28 attend. Boys will be in tents outside with the adults on watch and the Ladies will be inside with the adult Ladies. They will be mentored by College age students who will be volunteering their time during the mission week. There will be at least four other key adults to chaperone this event. The week will consist of quiet time with the Lord, learning team building skills, sacrificial service to the community and learning to use their God given talents. There will be a praise and worship band, speaker and fun activities planned during the week. Each student will be going to various work sites. Each work site may have different projects, such as light construction, painting, clean up, landscaping, etc....In the afternoons students will be leading a community kids camp which will located at Haven Place. Grades: K - 12th This weeks theme "Kids in the Kitchen Week" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. The park in the summer is hot, please send your child to the park with a bottle of water and sunscreen. Staff will provide an igloo of cold water for refills. Camp Deep Space - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
Camp Deep Space takes campers to the edge of the universe on a mission to make a distant planet habitable for humans using LEGO Mindstorms NXT kits. Our videos and animations help campers build and learn programming, tackle building challenges, and hone their robotic and project planning skills. Science factoids are interspersed throughout, accompanying engineering design activities tied into space exploration. Camp Deep Spaces curriculum has been developed by Carnegie Mellon Universitys Robot Academy. Campers will work in teams to complete their missions. As an extra bonus, campers construct and launch two of their very own Estes Rockets. Campers will take their rockets home with them. Parents are invited to join us on Fridays Family Day to view their childs rocket launch. We are on our way to the final frontier! Mini Mulligans Tour at Naval Academy Golf Course - Naval Academy Golf Course
The Mini Mulligans Tour will consist of 10 events in the Greater DC & Baltimore areas. This tour is a developmental tour, targeted towards beginner juniors ages 6 to 9. Ages 6-9 – Should have some basic golf ability e.g. can grip and swing a club. Divisions 6-7 year olds - They will play three holes. Better players may play up into the next level. 8-9 year olds – They will play six holes. If you are 10 year old that is not that experienced or isnt ready for nine holes. Tees All Mini Mulligans play will be from the Gold Family Tees. Ten-Shot Rule A player shall take no more than 10 strokes before reaching the green on a hole. Once 10 strokes are reached, the player must pick up his ball and place it on the putting green. A player shall take no more than 4 putts per hole. Pull Carts Pull carts are allowed for use unless prohibited by the golf course. Caddies Parents are allowed to caddy for the child playing in the Mini Mulligans Tour Event. Dress Code 1. Morning: Robotic Golf Open Things on the golf course just arent the same since Lego Robotics have taken over! The holes having moving machines/obstacles and the par just keeps raising. Students will use their imagination and creativity to design and modify unique golf holes on most days. When students are not golfing, they are fighting for the most golf balls with Crabs in the sand trap and having a Golf Cart show down (maneuverability race and battle). Not only do you create your own golf course anew with different obstacles, but teams build and modify a Lego club too. On the last day, the 18th Hole, build a Hole-in-One Catapult! Go for a Hole-in-One! Go for the Robotic Golf Open! Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance...
