4-H Teen Summit - Session 3 - Nancy, KY
Kentucky 4-H Teen Summit is held annually at the Kentucky 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. The conference is for youth who are currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills in youth. While at the conference, all participants get to learn in fun and educational workshops taught by members of the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council. The conference also includes motivational speakers that get young people excited about leadership. The cost to attend is $115 which includes meals, lodging, and transportation. Shh! This camp is top secret! All we can tell you is that campers will be creating some awesomely creative and lovingly kid-made gifts for mom and dad (or grandma and grandpa) completely undercover. We’ll even be gift wrapping them so that the secrets will stay safe! ------------------------------- ABOUT OUR CAMPS: Our mixed-media camps are the perfect way to enrich and entertain your little ones during school breaks! Our camps are for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade** and include awesome themes that incorporate many opportunities for making (including painting, drawing, collage, sewing, building and much more!) Our experienced instructors and small classes keep our camps both attentive and engaging. Something that has been toying with the New Sanctuary for a long time finally gets down to brass tacks. Big changes occur in the world, new horrors appear, bad stuff happens to good people, and the smart folks will bring their own in-game light sources. This is a full weekend long immersive LARP experience. The price is $60 for players who will need to bring sleeping bags, toiletries, extra socks, costumes, weapons, spell packets, and extra badass to withstand a weekend of imagination and adventure. Meals in the tavern are an additional cost, but hearty and well worth it. NPCs pay $15, and don't need to bring costuming. Their admission fee covers their meals as well. NPCs need to bring dark clothes they can move in, sturdy shoes, extra socks, sleeping bag, and toiletries. We ask that people try to get to the site by 8 so that they can have time to get into costume and go through registration before lay on at 10. We will be able to arrive on site as early as 3 PM. Daily hands-on activities, crafts, and experiments will guide campers in their exploration of solar, wind, and hydropower. Campers will use the energy from water and wind to sail hand-made boats as well as harness the power of the sun to cook a snack in a solar oven. This camp is for every kid with some energy to play and to build a strong future for themselves and the planet. All campers will learn from science experts, play learning games, make projects, meet new friends, cool off in Sand Creek and have supervised exploration time.
