This is our second annual community yoga class that unites a diverse range of Atlanta community organizers, educators, and yogis through the practice of yoga! Youth Winter Weightlifting Camp - Waunakee, WI
We are pleased to announce an upcoming Youth Weightlifting Camp, hosted by two USAW Certified Coach’s. This is a great opportunity for local kids during their winter break, plus it is for all levels. The online sign up, for this 2 day clinic, is attached below. We will also have t-shirts, tank tops, or a hat for each registered attendee. Strength training for kids should consist of skills, coordination, stability, movement, agility, kinesthetic awareness, flexibility and balance. This should include big muscle groups that utilize body weight movements and free weights with light, manageable loads. Things like Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and plyometric movements. If these exercises and movement patterns are taught at a young age, the athlete will have a greater advantage in technique as they progress in age and strength. Our Youth Weightlifting Camp is December 28-29th from 9am til 11am both days, for ages 7-17, and again for all levels.

Student actors command the stage with summer theater fun at the PCAC. Different plays and activities each week. Campers will Learn to be part of a theater team, exercise their creativity with improv games and improve their personal presentation skills in front of an audience. (2016 SOP SCHEDULE BELOW) AKASPORTs Speed of Play: Leadership through Fitness Program, is led by AKA Director, Chris Schulz and the AKA professional training Staff. Participants enrolled in the AKA Speed of Play (SOP program), in partnership with the AKA All Sports Camp (ages 6-12), will offer adolescents an opportunity to be active, train and play in an All Sports setting geared to teach them leadership qualities with personal mentorship opportunities. The base of the Speed of Play program is from 9:00am-4:00pm and the doors are open for all Speed of Play participants from 7:00am-6:00pm, the same hours of the AKA All Sports Camp so you can take advantage of supervised activity time the entire day.
