Take the next step in the Taste of process and add another week long program to reinforce parts of the boat, the sailing lingo, and overall comfort on the water. It is an initiative led by youth with the vision of creating a forum for dialogue to enhance the ability of participants to think outside the box, engage in self-reflection, become socially conscious and have the confidence to act upon it in their local and global communities. This Camp is a 5 (Five) Day Buckaroo Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. The Wednesday Night Overnight stay is offered only as an option, and has an additional charge. Campers are not required to select this option. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts, Horse Health and Welfare and Swimming Pool fun at the end of each day. Plus, making friends or renewing previous relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest. Its all about color and imagination this session, which will explore artwork by famous Modern and Post Modern masters like Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso. These artists experimented with depicting the world using fantastic colors, and a bold and expressive style of brushwork. We will experience color in a whole new way while working in fine art materials, found objects, collage, printmaking, and more! Campers will be inspired to create their own wild and wonderful masterpieces. The Landings at Spirit Golf Club has offered junior golf instruction for the past 16 years and PGA Director of Instruction Don Gorin has been instructing juniors for over 22 years. The facility will continue to provide trained and experienced instructors to help promote a lifetime sport. Our camps consist of range instruction on the full swing, short game, and on-course playing, while learning course etiquette and the rules of the game. Each camp session will have a maximum of 8 students per class and a minimum of 4. This will ensure plenty of individual instruction.
