This allows students to use Java to express themselves in a more creative format with easy-to-use graphical capabilities. Students can choose to either make artistic projects with a narrative or an interactive game. This class will help grow the students understanding of Java, as well as how to incorporate new libraries and methods. It will challenge the students to be inventive with not only how to solve problems, but also with the creative direction of their projects. The popular game Minecraft will be used as a tool to teach the core mechanics of Computer Science. Kids will experience collaborative building and problem-solving exercises through networked Minecraft play and offline pixel projects. Redstone, Creepers, and pork chops are all here. (804) 727-9817
Junior Club Team - Eagle Ridge Golf Academy
The Junior Club Team meets every Sunday, July through September. Juniors will learn new skills during the practice sessions and play on course matches to help them develop tournament play skills. They will learn to play different match formats to gain experience. Want to play like the pros? As part of the club team, all juniors are participating in the Junior Cup Challenge. Each week there will be a different format played, with points being awarded based on position finished. Our camp promotes cooperation, teamwork, and everyone participating. Campers participate in soccer, flag football, dodge ball, tennis, swimming, and a variety of outdoor games. Friday afternoons the campers swim at local pools and take a weekly sports related field trip. Adrian and his staff of coaches make sure the day is balanced with two healthy snacks and time indoors out of the sun!
