Robots aren’t just inventions in a galaxy far, far away— they exist here on Earth, at your local library! Join us this Winter Break for a Star Wars-themed robotics camp. Each day we’ll watch a clip from the movies, and build a LEGO robot inspired by the film. The library will be hosting two four-day camps—attending all four days is not mandatory, but each class will build upon the previous classes. No prior experience in LEGO robotics necessary, but seating is limited so RSVP is required. Whats so strong it moves mountains, dissolves metal, shatters boulders and supports life? Water, of course! Dive into the secrets and science behind H2O and prepare to get wet as we explore our local watersheds. 406-582-0526
Smart @ Art B with Eva Scopino (Ages 4-6) - Young People
Young artists become masters by learning independently and grow while working in a warm, nurturing environment. Students will use materials and techniques ranging from clay, drawing, painting, watercolors, collage, puppets, sculpture, wood, and papier mache. Instructor: Judie Cavanaugh (section a), Eva Scopino (section b) a. Wednesdays, 4:00-5:30pm, Jan 20-Feb 24 b. Saturdays, 10:30-12:00pm, Jan 23-Feb 27 Note: This course is essentially designed for building problem-solving and motor skills; sparks creativity. Great for local wrestlers of all experience levels. Two sessions per day with a focus on high-level technical instruction, drilling, live competition, & conditioning. More live wrestling than a technique camp, but not as brutal as an intensive. Camp runs M-Th from 9:00am-3:00pm. Ages 8-18 (limited space available). Open to any and all entrants 650-723-1657
