How Are Emergency Situations Handled?
Emergency action plans are in place, reviewed with staff and practiced to ensure that campers are safe. These plans focus on everything from weather and health issues to missing camper or medical emergencies. All staff members, regardless of their role, are trained in these procedures to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Your children are in safe hands! If there is an issue, the staff will make sure to call the parents to make sure they are updated on all medical action taken or a weather-related situation like a bad storm. All safety equipment is reviewed at the start...

Howdy fellow camp alumni and camp lovers! Come out Friday, June 17th, for a fun filled night of music and drinks at the Columbia heights VFW on 45th and Central. Music will be provided by the awesome cover band, Greyduck with Chelsea Csargo on the vocals who is a former camper, staff member, and current volunteer. This event is a special night to donate money to future campers. Let's help provide kids with the opportunity to experience the magic of the Hodag while building memories they will carry throughout their lifetime! Everyone is welcome... So bring your friends! P.S. Drinks are affordable and there is no cover:)

Camp TMP's Homeschool Academy presents "A Kid's Life" on Tuesday, November 29, at 4 pm. This cast of eight student performers shares an exciting adventure in the world of a kid! A How-To Musical Guide to the Most Daring, Dangerous, Exciting Time ... Like ... Ever! Composers: John Jacobson, Mac Huff A massive electromagnetic attack from outer space has jammed all technical systems, and there is no electricity, no cell phones, no laptops – NO FUN! The kids are in a panic and don't know what to do, until Grandpa and Grandma arrive on the scene and introduce them to a day filled with daring and adventure, music and imagination – all without fancy gadgets! This creative 35-minute musical appropriate for all ages features seven original songs, choreography, and terrific acting! Admission is by donation and perfect for the whole family to attend.

(NOT for beginners, must be VERY experienced with Minecraft) For veteran gamers, this camp will explore the dynamic world of Minecraft modding and learn new strategies to assist your survival and creativity. Utilize Redstone to increase creativity, and learn file editing, cyber security, and safe internet browsing techniques. Campers will implement some of the most popular Minecraft mods including Biomes OPlenty, Decocraft, Twilight Forest, Optifine, Pixelmon, as well as mods of the campers choice! This camp will be enhanced with a special multi-player map that will pit teams against each other in a race to the end! All campers ARE REQUIRED to have a Minecraft™ account for this class. Purchase a standard account and desktop version of Minecraft™ ($26.95) at minecraft.net/store. Please note that girls should register as Adult Staff member if 18 or older as of July 18, 2016. If you will not turn 18 until AFTER July 18, 2016, please register as Junior Staff. No camper fee is required for Junior Staff, but there is a fee of $30 for any Junior Staff member who is not currently a registered Girl Scout. - Must be entering grade 11 or higher - Has completed AIT training or equivalent* - Has been an AIDE for 2 years, plus 1 year as an LIT, or an AIDE for 3 years * If equivalent, would need to submit an application verifying training & experience working with children and accompanied by three references. Have you ever wondered what goes on in your own backyard when youre not looking? Campers will work together with their team to discover who is living right under their noses and how people interact with them in their habitats. Step Into Sewing (Audrey Oberman) This project-based 3 hour camp-day (x5 days) will start with the basics so no experience is needed! Campers will work at their own individual pace and may choose from several smaller projects like a needle book and pincushion and then work on a larger project throughout the week, or a mixture of both! They will learn how to thread machines, sew straight seams and iron them, as well as some different techniques for finishing seams, and how to add closures (snaps, buttons, zippers, ties) to projects. More experienced campers may choose to learn how to cut from a pattern and make a simple garment such as pajama shorts. During all weeks...New children: will work on the basics and pick special projects and team up with the experts. Returning children: will be able to continue with what they heave learned, re-make favorites. NEED: labeled water bottle, snack, lunch and shopping bag to hold projects.
