This camp will introduce young actors to playmaking, a process of making theatre as an ensemble through creative play. Students will explore acting, storytelling, costumes, props, music and movement to bring a timeless folktale to life on stage. They also learn how to sing, act and dance to a Broadway-style song. Material fee $20 pay to office. This is for age 5 and up. Kids learn to use the abacus to do calculations, and charms table of 5 and 10. Abacus helps build a strong foundation for math and improves speed and accuracy of calculations. Get set for some serious sewing fun! Our Glamorize Your Doll program is designed for campers that have always had the desire to create trendy clothes and accessories for their very own 18 doll. Patient, kind, and skilled handwork studio counselors will teach techniques such as machine and hand-sewing, embroidery, and other embellishing techniques, then allow campers to craft their own unique creations for their doll. Weeks of Discovery Grades (PreK-5th) - Ethical Culture
WEEKS OF DISCOVERY is an exciting vacation break program filled with age-appropriate activities for children in Grades PreK – 5th. The program takes full advantage of a gymnasium and rooftop playground as well as the closeness of Central Park. Throughout the week, children investigate themes incorporated into art, science, and nature activities and share their discoveries with each other. These themes are expanded in other activities, including sports, games, music, movement, storytelling, drama, and cooking. Under the supervision of experienced counselors, children also go on special outings and adventures. Although each child is part of a smaller peer group of similar ages, every child is also a member of the larger group. This gives each child a different and special kind of social and learning experience. Children have fun, exciting days, but there is always time for relaxation, reflection, and individual pursuits.
