Makemie Woods is a wonderful place for kids to learn new things, meet new friends and become a part of a "family." The program has had consistent leadership for over 20 years- unsual for progams like this. Quality staff provide great role models. Both of my boys attended and had a wonderful time. 5 Week Youth Speed, Agility, Strength & Conditioning Camp. Every Tuesday and Thursday starting October 6th (Tuesday) - November 5th (Thursday) we will be training your athletes to be well prepared for their season and to help them stay active during the later months of the year! The age limit is 8-12 years of age. Camp Agenda Body weight strength training Proper speed and agility mechanics Coordination Conditioning Having fun while working hard!!

The due date is strict and all those turned in late will be placed on a wait list. Forms must be turned in with at least partial payment to reserve your spot. Arrival/Pickup Times: Meet directly at Covecrest at 7pm on Friday, September 23. The retreat will end Sunday at Covecrest at 11:00am. Please have your parent pick you up from Covecrest at this time. Packing List: sleeping bag or sheets & blanket, pillow, towel, toiletries, changes of clothes to include Mass clothes, pajamas, Bible, journal, Rosary, water bottle, snack to share, warm clothes, tennis shoes. No spandex permitted in co-ed areas.

You asked – we listened! We’re debuting 5 mini-camp sessions designed specifically for the “older kiddos!” These camps focus on fun and skill building over 3 consecutive afternoons of concentrated creation – allowing time for larger projects and deeper investigation of themes hand picked from customer recommendations! These camps run from 1-4 in the afternoon and are designed for students in 5th grade and up. Early bird registration rates are $75 for 1 mini camp, $100 after May 15. July 5-7: LET ME MAKE A SELFIE! – It’s time for your close up! Create a variety self portraits using photography, collage, painting, drawing, printmaking and more!

The next level of summer camp fun sure to entertain any 5th - 8th grader. Middle school aged campers will have the option to register for one of two options in the morning then stay for an afternoon of Camp Craze. Camp Craze may also be registered as an afternoon only camp. It will include a field trip, pool time and crazy games and activities. 757-274-6295
(5th-6th) More than Meets the Eye! (Saturday April 9, 2016) - Aurora
What is in an eye? Students will explore the visual systems of mammals through the dissection of a cow eye! Identifying various cow-eye structures, they will discover how the cow eye compares to a human eye! By testing their sense of sight, participants will begin to appreciate the little things – in our eye (right down to the little light-detecting cells) – which help us to see the world. *Note there is no meal with this event* (630)9075987

Create your own robot to compete in a Sumobot scrimmage! Robots will be created to perform specific tasks, such as pushing objects out of a Sumo ring. No programming experience necessary. 816-436-6228

We want you to become the next Leonardo Da Vinci! Using LEGOs, students will be introduced to Da Vincis inventive machines. This is your chance to be challenged with projects built around creativity, design and engineering. Leonardo created and improved upon the greater mechanical wonders of the world! Inventive minds will be able to build Odometers (to measure the distance a robot has traveled), Lifting Jacks (to hold & raise heavy loads), and not to mention the inspiration for the HELICOPTER. Join with us as we aspire to relive the excitement of Leonardo Da Vinci. Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance... Your toddlers will love this first introduction to sports. Kids will improve their large muscle movement and hand-eye coordination as they throw, catch, kick, run and play silly games. Our experienced coaches will make sure your little ones have a positive and fun learning experience. Wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Held at Royal Oak Salter Center, 1545 E.
