LATEST CAMPS NEWS: FATHER SON CAMP - Winthrop University
This years Father/Son campers will be treated to instruction from the Winthrop coaches, staff, along with current and former Winthrop players through detailed skill work and competitions in the best facilities in college basketball. Father and son teams compete with fellow campers of appropriate age groups (based on sons age/grade level) in competitions that incorporate skills learned throughout the camp. The skill work is designed to give both father and son drills and techniques to take home and continue working together. The camp is open to all fathers and sons ages 6-17, regardless of basketball experience. 803-323-2129 x6244

Grown-Up Summer Camp - Indianapolis, IN
Remember summer camp? Remember making new friends, learning new skills, getting a cool t-shirt and having fun? Following a sold-out debut last year, we are bringing back the joy of camp, but for grown-ups only. Grown-Up Summer Camp is a day-long immersive experience with artists, musicians, chefs, curators, and performers throughout the campus. Activities include making cardboard forts to battle rival campers, discovering hidden areas of the IMA campus, foraging the woods for edible plants, and cooking dinner with Cerulean chef Caleb France. Cap off the day gathering by the campfire with a drink with live music by local bands. The IMA's ARTx Series is made possible by a gift from the Efroymson Family Fund Saturday, September 24 / 10 am-9 pm

Summer Camp - Cloverdale, OR
All Pack Event. Enjoy the wonderful Oregon Coast while working on your rank advancement and our Summertime Pack Award. Exact timing is TBD, but the dates are reserved. I have reserved 30 scout and 10 adults slots. We have time to adjust, but the sooner we get this nailed down the better. I will have a sign up sheet for the next Pack/Den Meeting next Thursday for all those interested in going. There is a fee for this $243/Scout and $115/Adult. We do get a free adult admission for every 6 Scouts that go. At the next Committee Meeting we will discuss how we want to ration that out, either by need, or reduce everyone's cost equally, etc.

Opti 2 Session 3 - Annisquam Yacht Club
Opti 2 - Sailing, Tennis, & Seamanship ( Intermediate ) Eligibility AYC Jr Sailing is open to all children regardless of membership status. Admittance in the 2s class is based on their ability and performance in Opti 1s, and demonstration of adequate swimming skills for safety purposes. Or beginners in the Opti 2 age range, 10-12. Sailing The Opti 2 Sailing class builds on the 1s mastery of the basic skills of sailing. Participants will work on developing advanced sailing skills. A Opti 2 sailor will be able to master basic knots, have a strong understanding of the parts of the boat and sail and their effects on powering and de-powering the boat. Sailors will have a constant awareness of the wind, be able to trim for different points of sail and conditions, have an awareness of body position relative to wind and wave conditions, and consistently use tiller extension.
