Its time to make our cell phone photos stand out from the billions of photos recorded every day! As we stomp around the beautiful parkland surrounding Old Trail, campers will learn how to use a few standard photographic techniques to improve their photo taking. Then, in class, we will learn how to download and improve our images and make them rock. Well be inside, well be outside, wherever photos lurk, we will be searching for them. In the process, we will learn how to see in a new light. Campers should bring a cell phone camera, a USB cord to download photos to a computer and a CD or jump drive to store finished photos. Phonics provides the groundwork for becoming a successful reader and can be phun!! With the use of 1-2 books per day campers will improve their phonics skills (including: word awareness, syllable awareness, rhyming, sound awareness and comprehension). Each book will be paired with phun phonics activities and a creative craft! Lets have a phabulous time with phonics!! 3/12 10:00am SEUSSICAL Audition - PYT Studios
Pre-register for a 10am audition time for Peninsula Youth Theatres CENTERSTAGE production of "SEUSSICAL." Registration guarantees you a spot in the 10am audition group. You must be age 8-18 or have prior executive director approval. Children must be 8 by 3/17/16 to participate. PLEASE NOTE: TO KEEP YOUR SPOT you must arrive by 9:30am with your paperwork completed for check in and measurements. If you have not arrived by 9:45am your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list and you will be moved to the next available audition slot. We cannot guarantee that that will be the next audition group. End time is approximate - if you are dropping off your child you should ask producers for a better estimate based on how auditions are going. 650-988-8798

Be introduced to two incredible sports that will keep you fit, focused and balanced! Give your body the boost of energy it needs by refreshing your senses and having fun on the ocean. Explore Stonington Harbor on stand up paddle boards, while stretching, relaxing and testing your core balance. Ride the crystal clear waves of Rhode Island during surf class. No previous experience is needed, but an interest in the ocean and being active is a must. This class is perfect for new or returning students. Siena Math Camp (Ages 9-12) - Siena College
Campers will explore topics such as logic, counting, graphing, geometry, and topology in a setting that promotes curiosity and creativity. Well play math-inspired games and puzzles and, of course, tackle challenging problems. Our goal is to instill a greater interest in mathematics and to lay a foundation for further exploration. 518-782-6654
Week 8: Day Camp Assistant Training (Leadership Development) - Camp Tanadoona
Day Camp Assistant (DCA) Training is the first step in Tanadoonas leadership development program. DCAs spend the first half of the week engaging in teambuilding workshops and interactive leadership training with lead camp staff. Training includes first aid, behavior management, specialty programming and basic counselor skills. DCAs immediately apply their training when they are partnered with Tanadoona Counselors to assist with Day Camp groups during the second half of the week. Staying overnight on Thursday to help with the Thursday Overnight campers provides additional experiential learning. We recommend a minimum of two years of DCA before progressing to CIT. 612-235-7284
