Back Again For More Fun
This is the third year that our girl has spent the full two weeks at Piomingo. The big difference is that this year she is going back as a counselor in training. We're very excited that she was given the opportunity to step up in a leadership position. Dave Parrish Memorial Youth Rugby Camp - West Saint Paul, MN
This is the first annual Dave Parrish Memorial Youth Rugby Camp! This is a non-contact rugby camp open to kids in middle school and below. The cost is $10 to help cover costs of renting the dome, and the first 50 registrants get a FREE rugby ball. While this is run by Eagan Rugby's Middle School program, this camp is open to kids in surrounding areas. Dave passed away far too soon in January 2015. But before he did he made a lasting impact upon our Eagan Rugby program. He loved working with kids and introducing this wonderful sport to them. Thus, in his honor (and thanks to his memorial foundation), we are thrilled to present this opportunity to kids.
Youth Councils 2016! - Camp Lake, WI
What is Youth Councils? Youth Councils is a three day retreat specifically for Jr. High, High School and college age youth to be challenged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Who can attend Youth Councils? We have two tracks to set up so that we can tailor everything to the specific needs of your youth. To attend the Jr. High Track, youth must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade by April 8, 2016. In order to be in the High School Track, youth need to be in 9th grade-age 25 by that same date. When is Youth Councils 2016? Youth Councils 2016 is being held from April 8-10, at Wonderland Camp & Conference Center. How much does Youth Councils cost? Only $25. Only $25?! Yes, you read that right. $25 is all you need for your meals, snacks, lodging, main sessions, concerts, banquets, jokes, good times, pillow fights, and more. It's a steal when you think about it. Join us for clay and art camp at El Marino Park and enjoy an exciting and creative experience. We will learn how clay is made and used in many cultures around the world and explore working with clay using a variety of techniques and equipment like the slab roller and pottery wheel in addition to the clay work, camp will include special art projects such as mixed media sculpture drawing acrylic painting water color and fiber art. Find out why triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports in America and learn about NCAA scholarships for female athletes! USA Triathlon certified coaches (including Dr. Karen Edwards, Director of Afterschool and Summer at Laurel) will teach basic skills for completing your first triathlon. Learn open water skill techniques, bike handling skills (including braking, riding in a group, and safety skills) and running to maximize speed and minimize impact. Transition skills and strength and conditioning for endurance sports will also be covered. Tuition includes coaching, transportation to swim venue, and lunch. Basic swim proficiency is required.
