Summer Camp - Half Day Morning - Week 8 - Mockingbird Baby
Morning: Levers, Trebuchets & Catapults What happens when you combine levers and robotics? Medieval machines, catapults, trebuchets, draw bridges, hammers, clock and walking robots! Do you know the difference between a trebuchet and a catapult? Can you make a robotic clock? Here is your opportunity to learn about the different types of levers while building Lego robots. In Levers, Trebuchets & Catapults you will nail the competition while time and the ping pong balls of warfare fly as you break down enemy walls and minions. A little modern technology and Lego can defy the impossible. Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance... Tech Time 3rd-5th - Evergreen Country Day School
Designed with the collaborative workshop model in mind, campers will enjoy an in-depth exploration of two essential tech tools: Scratch programming and Lego stop animation. Using MITs Scratch programming language, fundamental concepts will be taught so campers can start creating stories, games and animations and even try applying some of these skills to games like Minecraft. Well then investigate tricks of the trade for creating Lego stop animation movies so campers can make their very own flicks. The week ends with a culminating workshop day for students to tweak and expand existing projects. No previous experience necessary; just come with curiosity and readiness to have fun! Xclusive Divaz was founded in May 2015 in Illinois. Xclusive Dizaz promotes positivity, character, class, and self-esteem for young women ages four and older. The staff gives young girls a venue outside of their home to grow and bond with other girls their same age. Not only are they a dance group, they are here to promote positivity, build character, self-confidence, and to uplift each other through the art of dance.
