The Chattooga High School Boys’ Basketball Team is hosting our annual basketball camp for boys and girls in Kindergarten – 8th grade in the beatiful new gym! Camp Dates: Monday, July 18th – Thursday, July 21st Time: The camp will begin each morning at 9:00 a.m. and will run through 12:00 p.m. each day. Cost: $30 per camper. Each camper will receive a t-shirt. Campers will also receive lunch each day. Kids can be signed up the morning of the first day of camp (next Monday, the 18th) beginning at 8:30 a.m. Registration forms/payments may also be dropped off with Amanda Larkins at CHS Tuesday-Friday this week between 9:00 and 3:00. We will post the registration form on the page in case anyone wants to print and complete it in advance. We will accept cash and/or checks made payable to CHS Boys' Basketball.

Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. This camp offers a world of creative play and fantastical journeys as campers use their imaginations to discover new characters, locations, and even write their own dialogue. Through the fun of this camp, we teach teamwork, communication skills, and self-confidence. During this session, performers have the opportunity to write a script, compose original music, design and build scenery, and create their own costume pieces. This will offer an inspiring and fun summer activity for your child!
