The Chesterfield Public Education Fund Proudly Sponsors After School Activities ____________________________________________________________________________ The CPEF is once again pleased to offer the after school activities club program for the Fall 2014 Session. This will start on September 29th and conclude on November 3rd. Each club will meet 5 times during this period. Clubs are available to students in grades 2 through 6. Please review the club descriptions to see what options are available for your child. Registration is only available online, please do not send anything via mail or email. Clubs will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and fill up quickly! Once a session is filled it will no longer be available on the web site. Enrollment will be open September 19th @ 7pm and conclude at midnight September 23th. All clubs are $35. All payments are due upon registration. You will receive confirmation of enrollment via email. All club notifications will be sent via email. If a club is cancelled for any reason (i.e. inclement weather) there will be no make-ups. If any one club has more than one cancellation you will receive a $10.00 refund.... 609-298-6900

2nd Session - Harry Potter - YSCP
Bio: Carol Pharo, Harry Potter Drama Club instructor, first explored the adventures of Harry Potter with her drama students at the International School of Amsterdam. Other themes included The Sound of Music, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Hobbit (with original music). She has continued working with these favorites in Centre County where she has also directed all-children casts for the operas Amahl and the Night Visitors, LOrfeo, and a ballet version of Winnie the Pooh. Ms. Pharo has taught at the Arts Conservatory, the Joan Kennedy Dance Center, The Music Academy, and the Academy of the Performing Arts. The Harry Potter Drama Club, for grades 3-8, is a young actors training, drawing upon the adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. This drama class will emphasize variety in vocal expressions and timing along with effective posture and gesture. There are parts for everyone, and favorite parts are continually switched, so that everyone has the opportunity to play the character of his/her dreams! Goals: Harry Potter et al. will fly all year-long with a performance on Extravaganza Night! 8142379727.0

Participants in Discovery Camp will engage in sports, art classes, swimming lessons, open swim, movie day and weekly field trips. There will be plenty of fun had by all. Participants provide their own sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, movie concession money. Snacks, swim instruction, open swim, all classes, movie admission and field trips are included. No camp July 4. Payment Plan Terms: A $100 deposit per camper and a $10 payment plan processing fee must be paid in full at registration. Remaining camp balance must be paid in full by Monday, June 6, 2016 to attend camp. Contact Recreation & Parks Department for more information. On-line registration for camps is not available. Refund requests made prior to the start date of a program will be cheerfully given less a 5% refund fee. Join us at the Encinitas Skate Plaza for a week of skateboarding fun! Learn how to skate in a safe and controlled environment with expert instructors from SD Skatelife. This camp is designed to teach skateboards of any level. Come learn skateboarding fundamentals, meet guest professional skateboarders and make new friends. All participants must wear helmets, elbow and knee pads. This week with Virginia Fishing Adventures offers campers the opportunity to learn beginner and intermediate tactics for freshwater fishing in nearby private ponds and rivers. We have access to some excellent private waters where campers are assured success. Our counselor-to-camper ratio is 1-to-5 to allow for one-on-one instructional time each day. Campers may also earn their fishing merit badge through this program. Safety is our number one priority, so campers will wear life jackets when in the water or on a boat. Virginia Fishing Adventures provides all bait and tackle, rods and reels, life jackets, and good times. Open to boys and girls ages 8-14. No experience necessary. 804-272-6362
