This class is designed for beginners to sewing. Students will learn how to use the sewing machine and hand stitch, along with how to cut, safety pin, and baste fabric. Sewing teaches hand and eye coordination, as well as hand dexterity. The projects are fun and simple. To start our sewing tool collection, the first project we will complete is a pincushion. 3D Printing and Stop-Motion Animation (24405A) - Cary Academy
Be your own stop-motion animator and director. Learn the ins and outs of stop-motion animation, filming, and 3D printing technology. Work as a team to choose your characters, write your script, build your set with the help of 3D printing technology, and film your movie. Inspired by Pfacs upcoming exhibit, Game On! Learn about art in sports throughout the ages! We will begin by making clay vases like ancient Greek Olympic urns, then we will dive into archery painting, and finish by designing and creating our very own gold medals! Campers should bring lunch, drinks and two snacks (due to allergies, please make sure all food is peanut free) PFACs camps are led by one teaching artist per 12-15 students with assistance from Camp Counselors.
