Just Cruising Equestrian Center Summer Camp Week 1 - Kingdom City, MO
Send your child to our day camps for a great learning opportunity with experienced and dedicated staff, amazing horses, and lots of hands-on crafts and activities! Students will help with care of the horses (feeding, watering, pasture turnout, stall cleaning, etc.) and learn about horse anatomy, colors, breeds, conformation, and tack. The last day of camp includes a mini horse show for parents to come watch what their kids have been learning throughout the week. All levels of riders are welcome, even if students have never ridden before. The cost of the summer camp is $350. A $100 deposit is required to reserve a spot. Camp runs from 8:00 am to 4 pm. Teen Dance Camp! - Vancouver, WA
9:30am – 3:30pm Monday thru Thursday 9:30am through 7pm Showcase on Friday Are you ready to DANCE. ? Teenagers (ages 13-18) of all dance levels are invited to register for our first ever Dance Camp July 6-10, 2015. Students will enjoy skill-based instruction in tap, musical theater, and hip hop from professional dance teachers as they do their morning rotations. After a time of worship, Bible study, and small group time, each day will end with a full company production number rehearsal. The camp will take place at Groove Nation West with three different mirrored studio instruction rooms for optimum learning, and the performance on the Mago Hunt stage at the University of Portland campus. Summer Camp Week 9 Ages 8-12 - First Free Church
CAMP DETAILS Musical Theater: Featuring Songs from The Sound of Music Join Maria and the Von Trapp children on a musical journey in this fun-filled camp! Campers will rehearse scenes and songs from Sound of Music for an end-of-the-week performance for family and friends. Drama games with friends, singing and dancing, acting out characters...these are a few of our favorite things! You wont want to say "So Long, Farewell" after this week! Children spending the full day with us should bring a sack lunch for our lunch break at the park Reporting Live from Andersonville! In this camp, students will explore the concepts of creating their own news show. From interview skills, anchoring and broadcasting, choosing news topics that interest the campers, and even camera skills, campers will get the entire experience of building a news show. Campers will make their very own spy toolkit and learn essential skills required for top notch espionage. 2nd Session - Harry Potter - YSCP
Bio: Carol Pharo, Harry Potter Drama Club instructor, first explored the adventures of Harry Potter with her drama students at the International School of Amsterdam. Other themes included The Sound of Music, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Hobbit (with original music). She has continued working with these favorites in Centre County where she has also directed all-children casts for the operas Amahl and the Night Visitors, LOrfeo, and a ballet version of Winnie the Pooh. Ms. Pharo has taught at the Arts Conservatory, the Joan Kennedy Dance Center, The Music Academy, and the Academy of the Performing Arts. The Harry Potter Drama Club, for grades 3-8, is a young actors training, drawing upon the adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. This drama class will emphasize variety in vocal expressions and timing along with effective posture and gesture. There are parts for everyone, and favorite parts are continually switched, so that everyone has the opportunity to play the character of his/her dreams! The Senior High Workshop (SHW) provides a fun, challenging, inspiring, and fulfilling week-long experience for teens while helping them to develop leadership skills needed to succeed in diverse environments. Through innovative leadership activities and engaging group challenges, students interact with both peers and staff to develop a unique leadership style to apply to their lives at home. Throughout the week, teens are encouraged to set goals and are given the tools to achieve them.
