Introduction to Discovery Camp: The Wild World Introduction to Discovery Camp is a shorter, scaled-down version of a traditional week-long Discovery Camp session. This allows children to build confidence and independence while developing an appreciation of the natural world through science education, exploration, and the traditional fun of summer camp. Note: This session is a 4-day introduction camp (Tuesday-Friday) and does not feature adventure days or wilderness camping, but weather permitting there will be a challenge hike and an on-site camping experience. 2016 Pre-Teen Summer Camp – Register March 9-11 - Scott Air Force Base
Youth, ages 9-13, are invited to register for the YP Pre-Teen Summer Camp which is held weekdays during the summer months from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This camp offers half day care with extracurricular activities for youth. Field trips will be conducted once a week to places like Sky Zone, City Museum, Raging Rivers Water Parks, The Fusion, laser tag, as well as excursions to base activities. (Field trips/activities such as bowling are an additional cost.) Fee: $100/child per week, plus the cost of excursions. Youth Programs membership is required. Annual Program membership is $48/child. Camp begins at 6:30 a.m., and ends at 12:30 p.m. when open recreation at the Youth Center starts. Youth are required to bring their own meals, however the snack bar is open periodically. Limited slots are available, sign-up early! Middlesex Youth Camp - Middlesex Youth Camp
Middlesex Camp is divided into a Senior Camp and Junior / Pee-wee Camp. Each group has its own tent on the field which serves as a home base during the day. The camp features recreational activities including arts and crafts, science and nature, sports and other organized games, weekly theme-related activities, and special events. Pee-Wee campers will have swim lessons. Junior campers will have swim and tennis lessons. Senior Campers will have tennis lessons twice a week and free swim daily. On rainy days, camp is held in the clubhouse and also under an awning over a paddle court. The philosophy of the camp remains low key summer fun, giving the children a taste of the many different activities the club has to offer, but also a time to simply play and build friendships. The Fremont Basketball Camp is for boys and girls ages 5-14. The camps are one week in length, some camps are full days, other camps are half days. This is a summer basketball camp thart emphasizes fun and the fundamentals of basketball. The camp is held at Fremont High school in Sunnyvale during the month of June.
