Baseball Camp A - Warner Park Baseball Complex
The basic design of the CDS Baseball camp is to help young baseball players develop a fundamental baseball skill set and learn tactical elements of the game. The goal of the camp is to equip campers with the skills to compete at a high level of play. The camp will be directed by David Houseton, CDS Varsity Baseball Head Coach at Covenant Day School. He will be assisted by his coaching staff as well as former and returning Covenant Day baseball players. What to bring/wear: • A cooler with water or favorite beverage – water will be supplied • Glove and bat, helmet and catchers gear if available • Baseball cleats or turf shoes • Shorts or baseball pants For more information please contact David Houseton at 704-400-5933 (704) 708-6102

Campers are taught all aspects of the game. A typical day at camp includes station work with emphasis on fundamentals such as shooting, passing, footwork, defense, rebounding, and ball handling. We also have a variety of contests, drills, league games, and a tournament at the end of each camp. Throughout our camps we put a special emphasis on our core values, Appreciation, Enthusiasm, Competitiveness, Teamship and Accountability. With appearances from our Texas Mens Basketball coaching staff and players, our campers get an inside look at what it is like to be a part of an elite division one basketball program. Sport camps and clinics conducted by The University of Texas are open to any and all entrants. Enrollment is limited only by age, grade level, gender, and capacity restrictions as specified by each camp. Please note that NCAA guidelines prohibit payment of camp expenses (e.g., transportation, camp fees, spending money, etc.) by a representative of The University of Texas athletics interests. NCAA rules also prohibit free or reduced camp admission for prospects (7th grade and above in mens basketball). Sorry, no camp scholarships available.
