Multi-Sport: Week 5 - Germantown Academy
Multi-Sport Camp is the perfect way for your campers to learn basic introductions to different sports and have some great fun! Each week will focus on at least two different sport activities. Some examples include Soccer, Ropes, Tennis, Canoeing, Baseball, Kickball, Archery, and Wall-Ball. 267-405-7520
Field Hockey - Wellington Gym
Welcome to Portledges first field hockey camp! The program will be run by two of the Locust Valley field hockey coaches, Karissa McGrory and Tammy Caramico. Your athlete will need a field hockey stick, mouthguard, shinguards, cleats, and goalie equipment (if you are a goalie!). Session 1 is for any girl looking to love the sport of field hockey. The session will focus on beginner skills such as stick work, shooting, positions, and offense vs. defense. Girls will learn the proper stick skills learned to become a future field hockey star. In addition to learning the proper sportsmanship skills needed to become a well rounded athlete. We recommend athletes joining us for the first session are new players ranging from grades 3-9. Session 2 is for any advanced athlete looking to get ready for preseason and the fall school season. It is recommended that girls are interested in playing on the JV and Varsity level. Athletes during this session will work on expanding their knowledge of the sport, increasing stick skills, and working on specific offense and defensive skills to push athletes to the next level! Camp Chemistry Morning - Newtons Attic
Camp Chemistry can be taken as a full day class or half-day, either morning or afternoon. To register for the full day, please register for both half-days. Morning and afternoon experiments will not be repeated, so students will have new material in each session. Glowing water, blue and red flames, and mountains of oozing foam are everyday occurrences in Camp Chemistry at Newtons Attic. This camp will expose students to the fun and sometimes bizarre world of chemistry, chemical reactions and exciting things that can be made with the right mixture of knowledge, chemicals and materials. In addition to playing with (safe) chemicals, students will work in the shop to fabricate various items, such as test tube holders and similar gadgets that will aid in their exploration of the world of chemistry. Everyone gets to keep everything they make or do at Newtons Attic so that the fun and learning can continue long after camp is over. So, lets all put on our safety glasses, lab aprons and rubber gloves and see what strange potions we can concoct. 859-368-7334

Improv Camp is the perfect place for the budding comedian, drama queen, or hilarious ham. We have a blast playing improv games, learning how to tell stories on the stage, and creating fabulous scenes. In the end, we take all of this and show it off in a final performance. This camp creates a fun and supportive environment for kids to learn the basics of creating improv, storytelling, and stagecraft. The curriculum is taught through games, play, and improvised stories.
