Beginning Java Programming – Ages 12-15 - Art Explorers Studio
Campers will learn the basics of Java using the software Greenfoot. Java is a computer programming language that is class-based, and object-oriented. Greenfoot teaches object orientation. Create ‘actors which live in ‘worlds to build games, simulations, and other graphical programs. Greenfoot is visual and interactive and is a great way to learning about real coding. Greenfoot aims to motivate learners quickly by providing easy access to animated graphics, sound and interaction. Tell Your Story- Comic Style! - Valle Verde Elementary
Classroom: B-7 Instructor: Sabine Kroeber Every child has a story to tell – and what better way than to tell it with their own comic! Students will learn how to design their own cartoon characters on the computer and bring them to life using posing and emotion controls. The use of background, props, speech bubbles and props will be discussed. We will take photos at Valle Verde and import them to create a comic happening at our school! Camp Colley - 3 Nights - Town of Fountain Hills
CAMP COLLEY OVERNIGHT YOUTH CAMPS Overnight Youth Camps are designed to teach riding skills, horse care, and outdoor recreational skills. Life skills such as responsibility, empathy, and communication are emphasized in each activity. Campers ride a minimum of two hours per day in a series of riding lessons, games, and trail rides. Camp Colley partners with Hunkapi Horse Programs to provide overnight camps. This unique partnership will give campers additional opportunities at camp including, but not limited to, hiking, nature education, mountain biking, archery, and arts and crafts. Campers depart from the Kiwanis Ramada near the Splash Pad at Fountain Park at 8:30 AM on Monday and return at 4:00 PM on Wed. Girls Volleyball Evening Camp #1 - Hollinger Fieldhouse
WCU Volleyball Camps offer instruction at the beginner and advanced levels. Beginners will focus on knowledge of the game, competitive fun, and fundamental ball control. Advanced campers will cover the proper technique for basic skills, offensive playsets, defensive formations, strategy, teamwork and attitude, and setting personal and team goals. Campers will be placed on teams, depending on skill level, with specialized coaching on each level. Each camper should bring comfortable volleyball or cross train-ing sneakers, extra shirt and socks, and a container of water. WCU and its camp staff are not responsible for lost or missing items.
