4 - Spring Break Fine Arts Camp - Midland Community Theatre
Do you know WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE this Spring Break? At MCT, of course! Join us for a week long camp as each grade level works on a performance piece inspired by Maurice Sendaks Where the Wild Things Are or one of his other works, like Little Bear, Chicken Soup with Rice, or Higglety Pigglety Pop. Students will study drama, art, puppetry, dance and music throughout the week in addition to creating a performance piece for presentation to family and friends on the last day of classes. 432 682 2544 x105

Full Day Enrollment - 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Morning Only (9:00am-Noon) Disney Mania – Campers will work with their favorite Disney songs and characters to learn the fundamentals of singing and dancing! Build confidence and coordination to the tunes of Frozen, Tangled, The Lion King, and more! Afternoon Only (1:00 - 4:00 pm) Behind the Curtains of The Sky is Falling- The art of Stage Craft will take over the next week on Second St. This week we will be working closely with the cast of The Sky is Falling to prepare their costumes and set for the show on July 22 and 23. We will discuss campers favorite things about summer, from swimming, camping, and hiking, to fun family vacations. Campers artwork will be inspired by these topics, conversations, and themes, with an emphasis on learning about painting, drawing, and sculpting techniques, to name a few. Landscapes, seascapes, and scenes from our own neighborhood will be explored while enjoying the last days of summer! Intro to Lego Robotics - Glenmont Elementary
Introducing the brand new Lego WeDo 2.0. Students will explore simple robotics using LEGO WeDo. Each week they will build models, attach sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer or tablet, and configure behaviors using simple programming. As students advance through the program extension projects can be added for those who are ready for more challenging projects. This robotics class covers topics within science, technology, mathematics and engineering. Science was never this much fun! Grades 4 & 5 meet on Wednesdays. Grades 1-3 meet on Thursdays. Students in grade 3 participating in both programs will meet on Wednesdays for Lego Robotics.
