Nasimco Youth Leadership Retreat 2016 - Fruitland Park, FL
NASIMCO is pleased to announce the 2016 Youth Leadership Retreat with the theme of “Thinking Outside the Box: Making Your Voice Count!” This year the retreat will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida. It is an initiative led by youth with the vision of creating a forum for dialogue to enhance the ability of participants to think outside the box, engage in self-reflection, become socially conscious and have the confidence to act upon it in their local and global communities. This year’s retreat is hosted by the Husseini Islamic Center of Florida, INC. at the Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp in sunny Fruitland Park, Florida. The retreat will combine facilitated workshops, debates, dialogue and recreational activities in order to optimize learning opportunities for all participants. It will take place during the Labour Day weekend, from September 2nd to September 5th, 2016. The intended participants are all youth ages 18 to 25. Registration is USD $200.00 per participant, which includes food, lodging, and ground transportation within Orlando. Spaces at the retreat are limited to 30 participants. One. Soccer School Camp sets itself apart from other youth sports education providers because they apply an innovative 10-step curriculum that incorporates SAQ (skills, agility and quickness), yoga, and Footvolley (a cross between soccer and volleyball), among other tactics, to teach players the necessary skills to excel. Each player receives a pro jersey, shorts and socks, along with a pro training ball, and a backpack. In addition, they get professional youth training from top class coaches from all over the world. Our USA TRIATHLON CERTIFIED COACHES will make sure your child is well prepared for their kids triathlon! We will review their open water swim skills, and practice their bike, run, and transition skills right in their transition area and on their race course! Each child earns points for participating in our kids Prerace clinic and kids triathlon towards super series awards! Healthy post clinic refreshments and race goodies! EVENT DETAILS AND SCHEDULE Clinic is Saturday, Mar. 5, from 2:30-4:30p. Meet in gazebo by Bonelli Park, South Shores Parking lot near Transition Area/Race Expo Site. Swim, Tennis and Soccer Camp - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Please sign up early for our popular tennis, soccer & swim camps held at Palo Altos Rinconada Park and Pool. Participants start each day with a tennis lesson 10-11:30am from the staff of Tennis program. Following tennis, the participates will eat with swim staff to eat from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm in the Rinconada Park. Following lunch the participates will head out to the field to engage in soccer from 12:30-2:30 pm with the Skyhawks coaching staff. After Skyhawks Soccer, the participants will head over to the Rinconada Pool where they will enjoy swimming lessons, water games and be supervised by our lifeguards. Cost includes tennis lessons, soccer lessons, entrance to recreation swim, and supervision. Participants should bring a bag lunch, tennis racket, bathing suit, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a towel each day. Ages 8-12. Pre and Post Care will be available before and after this camp.
