Make summer time a great time to play and explore! Camp Kateri is a week-long day and overnight summer camp at Rosaryville Spirit Life Center located in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Established in the 1960s, our youth summer camp continues to offer an exciting and enriching summer camp experience for boys and girls ages 7-13. Each summer, Camp Kateri provides a special summer camp program of recreation, adventure, creativity and fun! From horseback riding, cooking and swimming to camp fires and canoeing, each day at camp is packed with discovery and great opportunities to build lasting friendships and unforgettable memories. The Rosaryville grounds are fully equipped with over 500 acres, a junior Olympic-size swimming pool, a 2-acre fishing pond, stables, gymnasium, nature trails and more. Camp is filled with fun and challenging activities geared towards developing mind, body and spirit. We aim to provide summer camp experience that can serve as inner resources for building character. I'm an Army vet who knows the importance of these things. Let me teach your teen drill and ceremony, how to change a tire, how to communicate without using technology, and countless other important life skills. I will provide 45 minutes of life skills and 45 minutes of fitness during each session. Teen and parent must agree to participate in all eight sessions. Sessions will be held twice a week. While some of these programs do provide valuable advice, most of them are filled with poor choices that, if followed, will get you injured or killed in a real emergency. Without proper training, separating the fact from fiction can be a difficult task. Our primary focus this week is to teach participants the practical skills that will save them in a true emergency. While a number of Traditional Skills will be introduced, our goal this week is to provide participants with a pragmatic skill set. For instance, spending five hours building a lean-to when it gets dark in 20 minutes is not a practical choice. Trying to build a bow-drill fire kit from scratch without a knife and without properly seasoned wood in the damp environment of the Pacific Northwest is rarely practical. Although those types of skills will be demonstrated, we will challenge you to perfect the basics first – like carrying a small fire steel and a couple of cotton balls...

Using a gallery of 3D characters and scenery, Alice allows students to learn fundamental programming concepts in the context of creating animated stories, movies, simple games, and even virtual pets! Campers will be divided based on age and experience level to ensure each individual is able to train and compete against the appropriate level of competition.
