Kid's Fishing Derby Weekend - Dover, PA
Our annual Kid's Fishing Derby will be on Saturday. We are always looking for great volunteers to help during the derby along with donations. If you have any donations, please drop them off at the Rec Center or Office. We truly appreciate it and so do the kids.

Kid's Power Camp - Tempe, AZ
Five fun-filled days of fitness, team building activities, sports & Bible study. Monday–Friday, 8am-11am June 8th-12th $50 per camper, includes camp shirt 3rd - 6th graders may attend (fall 2015) 32 kids max. RSVPing to this fbk event does not register you for camp! Turn your words, drawings and images into posters and T-shirts and discover the vast potential for future designs in this hands-on screen printing class. Using stencils, water-based inks and multiple screens, students will construct bold, graphic images. LegoLand -Tuesday Camp 4-26-16 - PS87 Afterschool Program
The amazing world of LEGOLAND in Westchester awaits. Children will get to explore entire LEGO towns, go on exciting rides, and even build their own structure â€its an experience they wont want to miss! The kids will be transported from PS 87 to LEGOLAND by private school bus, departing at 9 a.m. and returning to PS 87 via school bus by 5 p.m.

SummerART Camp Full Day Studio Art Program 9:30am to 5pm Studio Art with Sketching Studio Session II: July 11 to July 22 Studio Art Camp Matisse and Friends: Colors of the Modern Masters Purple skies, pink trees, red rooms, and green people! Its all about color and imagination this session, which will explore artwork by famous Modern and Post Modern masters like Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso. These artists experimented with depicting the world using fantastic colors, and a bold and expressive style of brushwork. We will experience color in a whole new way while working in fine art materials, found objects, collage, printmaking, and more! Campers will be inspired to create their own wild and wonderful masterpieces. Instruction will be given on foundation drawing techniques, such as line, shading, composition, proportion, and perspective using a variety of subject matter. Art Across Cultures - During this session, you will make and learn about art all over the world. You will have the chance to try out new techniques and media while making art inspired by cultures near and far. An After School art class where students in grades 1 - 6 will HAVE FUN and learn to draw. By using our simple drawing method and weekly format certified instructors help students create original works of art beyond what they thought possible. Instructor: One on One Basketball () Room: Blacktop After School Hoops® is a weekday afternoon basketball program for aspiring young players. The one hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills instruction with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team. Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join. One of the many merits of After School Hoops® is that it provides school children with an organized after school event at which they can learn, socialize, and most of all, have fun. Parents and teachers often express concern that idle and unsupervised after school hours provide too many negative temptations for their children. Using athletics as the vehicle, After School Hoops® provides children with an opportunity to improve their overall physical fitness, develop sportsmanship and athletic integrity, and gain an understanding of the game of basketball.
