Our program is focused on teaching historical arts connected to the martial culture of Europe in the time of the 18th and 19th century. We teach history and real world skills related to the time of pirates and privateers. VBJJ Kids Camp!!! Monday the 13th - Friday the 17th, 9am - Noon! VBJJ is super excited to have the camp again this summer affter the kiddos are finally out of school. The camp will focus on drills, attack sequences for beginners and advanced kids alike. Appropriate for kids ages 6-13. Info and application posted under Children's Programs on Rivertowne's Website! www.rivertowneplayers.org This week long camp will meet every afternoon. We will work with local directors to learn technique, stage blocking and tableaus, the audition process, vetting and preparing a show, ect. Guest directors will visit with us to tell us about their personal techniques. There are VERY limited spots. An application will be available for the first two weeks of June. This is FREE OF CHARGE! We do hope to host a teen show this spring, and the production team will come from this camp.

Do you love learning about plants, animals, and the natural world? Do you want a chance to get outside, play, and explore this summer? Our nature camp will foster a personal connection to the natural world as we become naturalists and adventures fro the week! We will study a wide variety of topics such as plants and animals, ecosystems, outdoor exploration, nature crafts, and lively indoor and outdoor games. Each day campers will return home with some new fun facts, a game they learned, or even a story about what they found on a nature hike. While having fun participant are engaged in teamwork, as well as computer programming, problem solving using math, robot engineering, design concepts, and critical thinking. World Café is a great opportunity for our language students to increase their exposure to their target language in a fun Friday afternoon session. Children who arent studying languages at Janney but have some knowl- edge of Spanish, French, or Chinese are also welcome to participate. This session will emphasize cooking.
