Burlesque is a celebration of femininity. Women of all ages come together for a fun-filled journey into this incredible art form, ultimately empowering their creative, sensual, feminine beings. Telluride Theatres own Sasha Sullivan and Melissa Harris, who have been teaching burlesque classes for four years, are excited take new students on an eight-week journey into the world of burlesque. They will start with the basics – the history, dance moves, striptease, creating a character, and owning your space. Students will develop their very own burlesque character and walk away with a full routine, a set of pasties, and a portrait. At the close of the class, some students will be chosen to perform at BURLESQUE, a live variety show on the Sheridan Opera House stage at the end of March, a benefit for Telluride Theatre. Youll also be trained to help with the maurices portable climbing wall at community events. A mandatory training/orientation session is required on Friday, June 10 from 12 - 4 pm. A commitment of at least one full week of camp is required for participation, and transportation is available from Marshall School (drop off at 8:15 am and pick up at 4:45 each day). Every day for three weeks, students will be rolling up their sleeves and learning exciting new art techniques – from molding clay into their favorite animal, to making tea sets, vases, sea life, or other imaginative works of art! Projects include drawing, watercolor, mosaic glass infusion and ‘make-your-own purse or wallet. Children create all of their own masterpieces, and can take them home to enjoy forever. Ultimate 100 CENTRAL Camp - 7th-9th Grade Session - Garfield Park
This is the Ultimate 100 Camp Invite Only event for current 7th, 8th, and 9th Graders. It will be located in the Central. If you are invited from the Central Region you should register here. States that are in this region are Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin,Missouri. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE THE U100 IN YOUR REGION, YOU MAY SIGN UP FOR THE CAMP AT ANY OTHER LOCATION. It is the only national camp in the USA, where we will rank the top 100 players from the event. In addition, we will choose top athletes from this camp to the U100 Top Prospect Camp and Potentially the NUC All American Game.
