2016 Hamptons Elite Summer Select Travel Team - Downs Family Park - Flying Point
The Hamptons Elite Summer Select Travel Program is a 6 week summer program for the serious travel soccer player, hosted by Southampton Soccer Club. Players will be training on Tuesdays and Thursday from 6pm - 7.30pm at Flying Point in Southampton for 6 weeks and play in two Summer showcase tournaments, dates and locations TBA. The program is open for ALL Players regardless of what club they belong too. This will not interfere with your "home club and double registration is permitted. The program will be directed by Jonathan Watkin and the players will be trained and coached by Mr. Watkin along with other professional soccer coaches from Colonial Sports Group. All Players will receive a travel game kit including socks, shorts and two game jerseys that must be worn to all training and games. Players will be placed on appropriate summer travel team based on ability. 6 Week Session Option GROVELAND RESIDENTS ONLY - Bagnall Elementary School
Choose any six weeks for your child to attend. Additional weeks may be added later by contacting the Director at the established rate. Weeks CANNOT be added at the rate difference between each available session program. For example, if you register for three weeks and then decide to add two additional weeks, the cost WILL NOT be the difference between the three week program and the five week program. 5th - 9th grade girls: Biology Explorers - Saint Marys School
Biology Explorers is an exciting week of applied science for middle school grade girls. From microorganisms to the biosphere, campers learn about many of the questions, techniques, and equipment scientists use to study the different levels of life. Each morning, campers see demonstrations and perform experiments in the biology labs at Saint Marys School. In the afternoon, campers travel to a variety of local scientific points of interest to watch professional scientists at work. Past field trips have included the Phytotron and Solar House at NCSU, the Sharon Harris Plant, and the Duke Lemur Center. Katie Floyd is an Instructor of Science at Saint Marys School. Ms. Floyd earned her B.A. from Hollins College and her M. S. from Emory University. She taught for ten years at Wesleyan College in Macon, GA where, in addition to teaching 14 different courses, she taught the science component of Spectacles, a residential summer camp for middle school girls. Ms. Floyd has been teaching at Saint Marys for sixteen years and has served as the director of Biology Explorers for over ten years. 9194244028.0
