(T) 2016 Youth Leaders Summit (T) - Shepherdsville, KY
Tentatively scheduled for 29-31 January 2016, the Youth Leaders Summit, or YLS, is a consolidated Troop JLT that is conducted annually - the 2016 event will take place at Camp Crooked Creek. YLS should be attended by youth in the rank of 2nd Class or above and be newly elected leaders, or expected to become leaders within their troop. The training emphasizes YOUTH leadership of a troop, the Patrol Method, youth leadership positions and duties, basic problem solving and other principles of youth leading youth. Class size is limited to 30 Scouts, so be sure to register early!

Spring Break Clay Camp: Terrific Textures - Ann Arbor Art Center
Throwing on the Wheel & Terrific Textures Take your clay projects to the next level! Give your thrown work and clay sculptures a little extra pizzazz with a variety of interesting and exciting textures. This week we will: * Make our own unique animals using texture mats and hard slab construction techniques * Embellish a tile with a variety of stamps and textures to create an interesting landscape * Create a playful sculpture that highlights or exaggerates a texture of your choice. Finally end your day with museum discovery time! *Create exciting turtle inspired art and paint beautiful patterns on our own turtle shells! Hands-on turtle fun with Turtle Bob plus take a short adventure to the gopher tortoise pen to see these digging turtles in their natural environment. Wear/Bring closed toe shoes for the adventure!
