Sign up now for our Winter Break Kid's Horseback Riding Camp! For children ages 3 -18, no riding experience necessary. Kids learn about safety first, equipment, horses and riding in our soft-sand enclosed and covered round pen. What better way to finish off the winter break than by being outside with friends and siblings, learning a new skill, having fun, and gaining in self-confidence? All classes taught by Eric Clarke, natural horseman clinician with 35+ years experience as a professional trainer of horses and their people, assisted by several of his horsemanship apprentices. Class size is limited. All equipment and horses provided, except for boots (with a bit of a heel please; no sneakers) and helmets (no bicycle helmets). Camp is half-days, 9 AM - 12 noon. Be inspired by nature! We will balance our time between creating art outdoors, using natural materials in their natural environment, and collecting objects outdoors to create art with nature indoors. We will study nature artist Andy Goldsworthys work and we will create impermanent art such as earth mandalas, spirals, and fairy homes inspired by his work. We will make our own slime, play dough, and lets see if we can create a masterpiece doing some finger painting. As far as the getting wild part goes, we will have some wild relays and themed days. Crazy hair day and super sweet socks day will just be a few.
