They call is the 'Birchmont Experience' on their website. I call it the Birchmont Fun Fest because that's just what our two kids went through. Although they are only a year apart you would think they grew up in separate cities. What amazed me is how close they became. That was worth the price of admission! This summer camp is for teens 13 - 17, who want to learn how to create a production ready short script. Students will be paired in groups of two and will work collaboratively in creating a shootable three to five page script. Students who participate in TheFilmSchool Camp will receive guaranteed admission into the SIFF Teen Production Camp (separate registration and fee through SIFF Education). Scripts from the TheFilmSchool Camp will be chosen for production in the SIFF Teen Production Camp and will be shot at Seattle Center. Date: August 15 - August 19. Middle School - Baker Rink (Check-In Location)
The Princeton University Middle School Girls Ice Hockey Camp is designed for players (entering grades 6-8) whose aspiration is to get better by working on team and individual skills. This camp is both challenging and fun. Ice sessions will focus on the fundamentals of skill development and power-skating. Players will learn proper body position, edge control, and how to lengthen their stride. Puck protection, passing and scoring will be skills taught. In addition, players will learn all aspects of team play. Games will be played at night. In addition, players will workout with the Princeton University Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is Washingtons premier Football Skills Camp --Check in 8:00 am Last year we had OVER 300 registered campers from Seattle, Oregon, and California! We brought in NFL Pros from the Saints, Seahawks, Steelers, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Eagles, and More to coach the campers. 7 on 7s, 1 on 1s, Position Specific Drills, and more. Rising Stars: Musical Theater - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp will provide students with a wonderful treasure chest of the theatre world: performing onstage, singing for musical theatre, and introduction to the backstage support. Campers will learn stage performance through: theatre exercises, improvisation, scene readings, stage movement and auditioning. They will have voice lessons that will emphasize vocal technique, vocal placement and production, breathing, and interpreting songs. All of the above will be combined into a performance to be presented to family and friends on the last day of camp. For children entering 1st grade: YOUNG EXPLORERS SUMMER BLAST! at Oakwood is an afternoon program designed specifically to engage young children (ages PreK –1st grade) in activities that will unlock their imagination. When Young Explorers pass through the class- room door, they will instantly be launched into new and exciting worlds.
