UNH Outdoor Jobs and Summer Camp Fair 2016 - Durham, NH
Want to work outside this summer? Are you an outdoor program looking for potential employees? Come to the University of New Hampshire's annual Outdoor Jobs and Camp Fair Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Granite State Room of the Memorial Union Building at UNH. More than 40 employers representing non-profit outdoor and environmental agencies, commercial outfitters, summer camps and international travel companies will attend this year's fair to recruit summer and full-time employees. Some representatives conduct on-the-spot interviews. The fair, which is free for job seekers and open to the public, attracts more than 400 students and others from diverse academic fields, including outdoor education, nursing, natural resources, recreation management, theatre arts, business, and equine sciences. Attendees can win raffle prizes donated by local businesses. This is a great opportunity for networking and obtaining employment or employees early on in the hiring season. Teen Bring a Friend Weekend - De Leon Springs, FL
For youngsters in grades 5 through 10. Campers are allowed to bring a friend of the same sex and approximate age if they so choose. This weekend program allows for interactions amongst peer groups and a learning experience for those campers without diabetes. Educational sessions relating to Teen Issues, School Issues and How To-Be-A Friend are lead by the pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, dietitians and mental health professionals. Networking and the support of their peers is critical to this age. Campers are also treated to activities such as a beach party, luau, casino night and land sports.

Are you interested in becoming a healthcare professional, doctor, nurse, etc.? Then this camp is for YOU! You will learn skills professionals use every day in the hospital. Campers will have hands-on learning experiences working as healthcare providers. Activities will include learning how to take blood pressures, apply personal protective equipment, listen to heart and lung sounds, give injections, start IVs, suture wounds, participate in a simulation scenario and much more.
