The HST Summer Youth Camp will run for 4 days from 9 AM – 12 PM. The camp focus is on baseball instruction and drills to improve the skill. The camp will begin with an introduction of the fundamentals of baseball. Each day will begin with throwing and catching drills. The session will be followed by position training. Each player will learn about each position on the field. Each day there will also be a specialty skill learned. These skills will be base running, sliding, and bunting. Each day ends with games. The W Theater proudly presents, "Acting Up" A Children & Teen Performing Arts Camp. If you have a child or teen between the ages of 6 and 18 and they love "Acting Up", please register them for this camp (workshop). Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 11am - 5pm at the Broward County Main Library Auditorium Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. There will be age appropriate acting and singing classes with experienced instructors and assistants. Those who are serious will be casted in Sonya Welch's Stage Play, "Don't Give Up" which was written especially for children & teens. Week 2 AM - Kayak Fishing - NESS
This week is open to experienced kayakers and anglers who are ready to take their skills to the next level! Some of last years catches included porgies, snapper blues, pilot fish, trigger fish and even a remora! You never know exactly what will happen in this exciting class where we get to explore more closely some of the best inshore fishing spots. We will be teaching the basics of fishing from a kayak, tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. We practice catch and release only. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. Includes: fishing & kayaking 860-535-9362

Our combo camps gives the two sport athlete the ability to improve their offensive and defensive game in both basketball and baseball. Half of each day will be spent on the basketball courts working on your basketball game with an outstanding coaching staff. Fine tune your baseball skills during the other half of the day, with our experienced Academy instructors. Please bring a sack lunch. Players will be grouped by age and ability level. Price includes $25 lab fee. Campers spend the week conducting more than 25 fascinating and fun chemistry experiments. Emphasis is on safety, chemistry history, proper use of chemistry lab equipment, and an introductory understanding of chemical symbols and reactions. This camp is a great way to prepare for high school and even college chemistry. Experiments include: metal flame tests, paper chromatography races, fluorescent polymer slime production, litmus indicator solutions, electricity in a test tube, a boat that runs on soap, and many more! 805-570-1988
