February Visit & Info Session - Wheatley Heights, NY
A Usdan Visit and Information Session is an excellent way to learn about our many summer programs and what makes them both fun and educational. We begin with a guided walk through campus, introducing the music, art, dance, theater, writing, chess, nature and recreation departments. Our administrative leadership will share a few ideas about what shapes the Usdan program, from where we draw our inspiration, and what makes a summer at Usdan unlike any other. We will explain the enrollment process, and you will be given a chance to talk in small groups, or individually, with our knowledgeable team of arts faculty and staff members. We end the visit with a self-guided walk and exploration of the grounds. Kid's Yoga Spring Break Day Camp - Lexington, KY
A drop off camp for kids 5 to 11 years old. A fun, playful and prayerful camp for your child! In kid's holy yoga, we honor Jesus at the center of our practice, using yoga techniques of breath work, meditation and yoga poses. Your child will enjoy an interactive experience that includes learning Bible stories through movement, crafts and songs. In kid's holy yoga we foster an environment that teaches kids in a fun way about exercise, healthy nutrition, meditation, self control and God.

Summer Slide - Middle School
Are you concerned that your child may develop a case of summer slide or think year round school is an intelligent idea? This two-week program will allow your child to prepare for success in the following school year. The course is taught by Sandra Schwartz, who holds a Bachelors in Education with a minor in Mathematics and an M.Ed., and has been working in the North Merrick UFSD since 2008. Sandra currently teaches Computer and Technology at Camp Avenue School. Students are invited to take part in a comprehensive class designed to sharpen their skills by offering an ideal balance of instruction in math and creative writing to assist students in mastering these subjects. Students practice their math skills and learn new ones while having fun by engaging in skill building and problem-solving math games and activities. In addition, students are challenged to expand their creative writing boundaries and strengthen their composition skills. This course works at making the writing process fun and engaging while teaching the mechanisms, techniques, and tools that students need to become more (516) 750-3104

Our "Grinders" program is ideal for beginners and intermediate players between the ages of 10 and 18. Practices will take place on the full 78 foot court. Players will be coached on the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. Players will develop athleticism through daily age-appropriate fitness activities, make friends and improve their game! This combination class offers children a sampling of art projects using various media such as painting, watercolors, collage, and pastels. It is amazing what you can do when you explore your imagination. THIS YEARS SPRING SHOW IS CHARLOTTES WEB! A Non-Musical - Based on the book by E.B. White. Directed by Kirsten Raymond Learn performance skills and grow as an actor while directly applying the new knowledge to a full production performance of Charlottes Web. Through rehearsals and theater games and exercises, students will hone skills in acting and movement in a supportive group environment. Charlottes Web auditions will take place on March 2nd at the HCA. 2nd -3rd graders should arrive for their audition at 5:15 pm. They should prepare a short poem of their choice or read one of the poems provided in the attachment. 4th - 8th graders do not have to schedule an appointment. Please arrive anytime between 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm. Auditioners will be seen one at a time in the order of their arrival. There are two attachments of audition material for this age group. For children going into 2nd and 3rd grade Snakes, frogs and turtles! Campers will be immersed into the habits and characteristics of reptiles and amphibians, including time with live animals. Camp will also include walks, crafts, games and stories. All campers will receive a free camp tee shirt. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * This program will take place regardless of the weather. * Campers must bring a sack lunch if staying for lunch with the counselors. * Lunch with the counselors is an additional $10. * Register before June 1st and receive a $5.00 discount.
