Have a budding thespian in your family? This two-week program will give kids an opportunity to explore the multifaceted world of drama. Students are sure to have a blast playing daily improvisational games. After learning some basic acting skills, they will get hands-on experience developing a character. They will also be able to try their hands at many of the various aspects of theatre, including directing, stagecraft, costume design, stage make-up, playwriting, and… stage combat! (Dont worry parents. Its just pretend!) Finally, they will have a chance to show off their skills at the conclusion of the camp in a performance for their families and friends. 301-994-3080

Pre-teen Improv Summer Camp (Session 1) - Norfolk, VA
This camp is open to children ages 7 to 12. Students will explore the key elements of both long and short form improvisation. The children will play numerous improv games which will serve to develop and enhance their public-speaking, social, and team-building skills. This camp will be conducted in a non-judgmental environment where the students will build confidence, make friends, and most importantly… have fun. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis and there will be a pizza-party for lunch on Friday. The camp concludes on Saturday with all students performing in a graduation show on the stage of the Push Comedy Theater. Each student will receive a Push Comedy Theater T-shirt and be eligible to perform in the 5th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2016. We will have 3 sessions throughout the summer. Session1: July 11th - 15th, 9:30am to noon Session 2: August 1st - 5th, 9:30 to noon Session 3: August 22nd - 26th, 9:30 to noon These are all beginner level sessions, no experience is necessary. Tution is $200 for new students (includes a t-shirt), $190 for returning students.

The Stanford All Star Baseball Camp (Session 1) is designed to be the best baseball camp you will ever attend. Campers will enjoy a full practice and a full game each day of camp, with first class instructors from over 40 universities. This type of setup allows for personal coaching from high level coaches, in addition to exposure to many other Schools besides just Stanford. The All Star camp has grown so much over the last few years that we have split it into multiple sessions to accommodate the demand. SESSION 1 is the only one that offers a RESIDENT (Dorm) OPTION. **Registration is divided into two selections.** FIRST, select PRIMARY position. That ensures we can create teams at camp. All meals provided during Thursday overnight experience. Adventure Academy summer camp is open to children ages 7-14. We strive to ensure that each child leaves camp with long-lasting memories of adventure, discovery and friendship. We provide a safe environment in which to have new experiences, gain an appreciation for the outdoors and develop leadership skills and abilities. Being a counselor-in-training (CIT) is a leadership opportunity for high school students. CITs lead younger campers during their camp sessions, helping younger kids make friends, try new things, and have a great time. CIT camp is an opportunity learn all the skills it takes to be an amazing counselor, from leading songs and games to public speaking, time management and group leadership. Being a CIT is one of the best experiences at Camp Talahi! You must attend this training week to be a CIT for summer 2016.
