Camp Grow weaves nature, activities, and games into the beauty of a public garden. A day at Camp Grow can include gardening, nature activities, hikes, art, storytelling, crafts, games, music, and much more! Camp is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Campers bring their own snack/lunches/beverages each day. The camp fee for DRAGONFLIES is $300 for residents of NOVA Parks jurisdictions (cities of Fairfax, Alexandria, Falls Church, and counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, and Arlington) and $350 for nonresidents. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragonflies are campers who will enter grades two, three, and four in the Fall. Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. Is your teen always snapping away? Stealing your camera? Obsessed with capturing their surroundings? Foster their creative skills at our TEEN PHOTO CAMP this summer in our Crabapple studio! Students will need a digital camera and a *genuine* desire to learn more about photography. We will offer separate sessions for middle & high schoolers in June and July. We’ll have instruction, shooting practice and fun learning activities each day in an artistic, small group environment. Each student will need to bring their digital camera, a snack, water bottle & lunch each day. All other materials will be provided, including class notes & supplies. Championship football is built on FUNdamentals. This non-contact full day camp will offer a practice atmosphere while focusing on fundamentals and overall football safety for athletes preparing to play either flag or contact football. In addition to a team practice setting, daily individual teaching is provided for athletes to focus on their positions of choice. Afternoons will be filled with competitive Flag Football games and other fun team building activities. The camp is under the direction of Mark Modeste - Assistant Head Coach at Sacred Heart Prep.
