LATEST CAMPS NEWS: YDL Soccer Girls (5th & 6th ) 2015-2016 - VENUE LOCATION
Join us as our Wildcat Soccer is changing to YDL versus CASA this year! Open to all 5th and 6th grade girls. We will form an all girls team if we have enough registered girls. If there are not enough girls to form a girls only team we will then have a coed team(s). Practices will be held on the Japonica athletic field beginning Feb 1st. Games will be played on Saturdays. This will be a 6 week session: Game dates are set for: 2/20, 2/27, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, Mon 3/21 OR Tues 3/22. Player registration includes officials costs, new jersey, and a Page Mate photo. Player is responsible for black soccer shorts (per coach discretion), socks/shin guards, and soccer cleats. My kids were able to experience a lot of different things at Camp Tecumseh this summer. They have the usual camp activities, but they also have rock wall climbing, archery, riffly, tube slides, a nature center, candle making, disc golf, fishing and a mini farm. Summer Art Camp for Kids babaMonday-Friday, July 11-15, 9-12am Special outdoor dinner and performance on Friday, July 15, beginning at 6pm. Explore new areas in the arts at Summer Art Camp, July 11-15 at Ozark Folkways! Create giant masks and bring the characters of the Russian folk tale Baba Yaga to life as you experiment with music-making, movement, and mime! There will be witches, magical animals, fabulous costumes, lights, music and action: fun for all levels. Everyone will take part in a final performance at dusk on Friday, July 15 on our outdoor stage, the Crow’s Nest. The community will be invited to join in a weiner roast before the show, and then to marvel at the amazing performance the kids will have put together in a single week! Cost is $25 per child and includes all supplies and a healthy mid morning snack each day. Space is limited! Pre-registration is required and spots are available on a first come first serve basis. Join us for a fun week of imagination and creative travels to sea world! Campers will create a star fish bowl and unique wall art using multiple pottery techniques including coil, pinch and slab methods. Explore a new media and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Campers will get to experience using a pottery wheel on the last day of camp. Materials: A separate fee of $25 is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp for art materials, clay, glazes and kiln supplies. Campers should bring a snack and water each day. Follow clues to find the wildlife suspect of each day. Use microscopes, document cameras, and magnifying glasses as you journey to the NESS aquariums, tide pools, the shoreline, and into the Harbor on a boat. Perform a crab dissection and venture to new habitats by kayak, foot, and snorkel. Includes: 1 boat trip on the Dodsons Launch 860-535-9362
