23rd Annual Teen World Bible Camp - Clinton, PA
Teen World MInistries will be holding its 23rd Annual Bible Camp the week of June 5-11, 2016 at Promise Camp & Retreat Center in Clinton, PA. Our camp theme for the week is "Jesus Christ: Born, Crucified, Risen!" with Luke 24:45-47 being our theme verses. We will be memorizing and studying the Book of Luke (ESV 2011 Text) chapters 2:1-38, 23:26-56, and 24:1-53.. Teen World Bible Camp is open to all youth entering grades 4-12 in the 2016-2017 school year and 2016 high school graduates. Registration Fee for camp is $150 . Early Bird Registration Fee is only $140 if deposit form is received or postmarked by April 18th. There is a $10 per camper Family Discount for siblings attending camp as campers. Beginning Writing Camp for Grades K-8 - Slauson Middle School
Beginning Writing Camp 6th year for this popular & well respected camp ! Turn your rough draft into a brilliant masterpiece in this enriching writing camp. Using the Writers workshop research-based curriculum, campers learn and then refine their writing skills. Writers create their own publishing company, then plan, write, illustrate and produce an amazing picture book. Each writer has an individual writing conference, that helps them gain insight and confidence into their self-expression. Discussions may include qualities of good writing, overcoming writers block, writing motivation, craft of writing, anti-bias and multicultural themes and much more. Children are exposed to a wide range of literature, are taught to use author studies, and gain other strategies to help their work shine. An art exploration component may include graphic design; value study; use of color, drawing and illustration; and experimenting with collage, watercolor, colored pencil and more. Girls Volleyball Evening Camp #1 - Hollinger Fieldhouse
WCU Volleyball Camps offer instruction at the beginner and advanced levels. Beginners will focus on knowledge of the game, competitive fun, and fundamental ball control. Advanced campers will cover the proper technique for basic skills, offensive playsets, defensive formations, strategy, teamwork and attitude, and setting personal and team goals. Campers will be placed on teams, depending on skill level, with specialized coaching on each level. Each camper should bring comfortable volleyball or cross train-ing sneakers, extra shirt and socks, and a container of water. WCU and its camp staff are not responsible for lost or missing items.
