Game On! (5-8) - Peninsula Fine Arts Center
Inspired by Pfacs upcoming exhibit, Game On! Learn about art in sports throughout the ages! We will begin by making clay vases like ancient Greek Olympic urns, then we will dive into archery painting, and finish by designing and creating our very own gold medals! Campers should bring lunch, drinks and two snacks (due to allergies, please make sure all food is peanut free) PFACs camps are led by one teaching artist per 12-15 students with assistance from Camp Counselors. If youre child may need additional assistance beyond what a teaching artist could provide, please let us know. Parents are always invited to stay in the classroom. 757-596-8175

Young Artist, Great Adventures - S1 - Plymouth Community Arts Council
A class designed especially for geographically-inclined young artists...Get your art passport ready! Our itinerary will include two and three-dimensional art pieces inspired by countries and cultures of the world! Mexican terra cotta tiles, world flag-making, mock stained glass from Italy, and more... Each student will exhibit a piece in our end of summer Art Show. 734-416-4278

1st Session - Vocal Performance - YSCP
Club Description: The Vocal Performance Club is for students who really love to sing and who would like to develop their skills further. The class includes group singing (choir) but also emphasizes vocal technique with individual attention. Students, who feel ready for a challenge beyond group singing, will be encouraged and supported in their preparation for solo presentations. Repertoire will be chosen according to the abilities of the students, including folk songs, songs from movies and musicals, jazz favorites, and art songs. Older students are, especially, encouraged to enroll. Goals for February to May include developing students individual vocal technique and exploring repertoire which will highlight the abilities of each. The class will also prepare for presentations at school events and other opportunities. Instructor Bio: The class will be taught by Carol Pharo, B.A. in Music from Penn State, M.M. from New England Conservatory, an Advanced Certificate in Singing from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and a diploma in fortepiano from The Royal Conservatory in the Hague. Arduino I - Da Vinci Science Center
Arduino I* - $350 (July 18 – July 22) Todays technology: computer controlled Do-It-Yourself electronic projects facilitated by Arduino. Arduino is a micro-controller with user friendly coding that can be used to interact with the physical world. This Arduino starter camp will provide basic instruction on how to use the Arduino micro-controller to perform a variety of different tasks. This is a full day camp and includes a $50.00 material fee for take home electronic parts and accessories. Advisable Note: For continued learning experience beyond this camp, your child is encouraged to bring her/his own laptop daily onto which the necessary drivers and codes would be installed for the tasks we do each day. 484-664-1002

Bug Catchers Two-Day Camp - Harris Nature Center
For children going into 2nd and 3rd grade Insects, spiders and invertebrates of all kinds invade this camp. Campers will also enjoy craft projects, nature activities, guided walks, stories and games.
