What this camp might lack in 5 star hotel lodging they more than make up for in personal attention to campers. They remember every camper by name, send them birthday cards, and make sure each one is recognized as a VERY special person. They have been doing this for 35 years with an impeccable safety record. We have schedule a second computer coding camp for July 18 @ 1:00 for grades 6-12. Part 2 is a two-hour camp that introduces teens to robotics engineering with a line patterning RedBot. Teens will add to coding skills learned in Part 1 to instruct RedBot to follow simple to complex line patterns. Daily lessons will include touch-typing techniques, drill sessions to improve accuracy, and tutorials in Microsoft Word & Excel. A Celestial, Star Wars influenced mixed-media art camp taught by our own Princess Leia, Christina Evans! Assemblage, painting, clay and cartooning are in the plans, with found object robot sidekicks, clay characters, marshmallow constellations, modern-art planetary canvases, and pod racer design are all part of this out of this world week! Tryon Creek is full of feathered friends. Some are bright, some eat insects, and some you can barely see! Campers will meet Audubon Society raptor, and discover what summer time birds live in the park.
